H.C Jackomuddy It's an animation choice it's pretty popular in Japan. Not much of a fan of it myself. Ultimately it's down to execution and I feel it ain't executed in the best way here imo
I'm not sure what the thought was about half way through the scene to drop the framerate for the rest of the vid instead of doing slowdown for certain parts that go too fast. When I first booted up the game on PS4 I thought something was wrong with my console lol. Outside of the opening cutscene tho game is fantastic gameplay wise, story quality took a hit(its pretty generic) in this department but still working through it to EX all battles, very much enjoying it. Though Umbral Star did have a more barebones Musou gameplay, the story felt far more well thought out and structured. Now if they just take feedback from the first 2 games and we get a great story and great gameplay it will be one of the best Fate games I think anyways. This game is really getting me interested in Musou games, might grab the PS4 Dynasty warriors 8 if I still feel the itch, heard 9's open world hurt the series a bit.
So this is the intro movie, that ruler is the final boss and this is the final roster... I have to say that the final roster is better than I expected with inclusion of Lancelot and Darius but the lack of Mordred and the fact that they choosen the stupid trap over her reallly makes me sad...
Also, as a Vita Extella player, the framedrop is exaggeration considering the Vita version has less mooks compared to the console so it can play smoothly.
... Is this seriously the final opening ? My hype took a serious shot when the new Ruler was announced but ... damn, I hope at least the story will make up for all of the little things that are already wrong.
Oh. Well, I'm more bothered by the fact that it's 3D instead of 2D (I find most models quite emotionless) and incredibly generic visually. The song is also less catchy than the first Extella but I guess they can't go for something too similar since we'll probably get a very different story (as far as a different story in the exact same world can go).

cortes5000 framedrop looks intentional tbh. U can see it move smoothly on certain parts before being slowed down.
