Thanks Brian, I discovered you and Jeff Lutz on Herbert's channel. You guys are now my two main sources for any Tesla info. Aside from all the CyberCab design breakthroughs, to me the most exciting thing is that if Tesla is planning to ramp up volume production next year, it also means that unless they're planning on parking millions of useless vehicles somewhere, they really, truly, actually expect FSD to be fully solved by then.
The butterfly doors is not a good idea, for safety reasons. In the rare chance of a rollover you can't open the door and get out, but with traditional doors you would be able to. Plus with traditional doors you can share parts with other Tesla models.
Out there doin’ boys on the ground! Thanks for bringing this to us, Brian 🙏 Hopefully when you do this sort of thing a year from now the car will drive for you and you can get some rest!
MESSAGE TO TESLA: That sharp lower-rear door corner needs to disappear. No sharp corner is the best corner! Someone please pass this suggestion forward.
Just wondering if anyone here has heard of the Vortipower and their Tesla power sharing dc to ac device. I heard about this device a couple of weeks ago and I have yet to see the Tesla TH-camrs do a review or comment on it. I imagine that such a device is possible given the CCS protocol and it's bi-directional capabilities. The device appears to support two 120 volt/15 amp circuits. Inside EV's did an article on it recently. The device looks promising and it remains to be seen what Tesla has to say about it.
2 seats? Sure, you look at any highway and single driver is the norm. But Uber and Lyft are 4-6 college student passengers on Thursday Friday and Saturday night .
@ You have never driven lift or Uber have you. Sure, daytime Thursday, Friday and Saturday 90% of your rides are 1-2. Drivers make less than $20/hr during that period. Come evening or during sporting events all of a sudden 100% of the rides are 4+. And the drivers make $35+ per hour.
This made me think a little differently, about a car a year away. I was thinking why the big deal, because so far off. But, even if that remains true, Elon is showing how close a Robotaxi can be, and so much so that they are preparing for a real custom designed product. I still am more interested in the more affordable cars, as Tesla may never sell these to the public. There is speculation if Tesla will ever sell any.
I like to think Elon himself had a hand in making sure you were given the opportunity. Seems like just compensation for the 10/10 snuff. A foldable wheelchair fitting in the storage space is huge!
Thanks, Brian. I am a big fan. I hope someone reads this. There is a big shortcoming with the Robo Cab. The person who needs this product the most is a low-income mother with children. You can't send young children alone in a separate car.
This car is NOT designed to suit each and every possible robotaxi mission... only 85-90%! There will be other cars (Model 3s and Model Ys, but also the CyberVan) to transport bigger groups, families, or more severely handicapped persons.
Not many people have more than one child anymore, and for those who need larger capacity or a different use case, there's always 3, Y, S, X, and Cybertruck.
This video shows that being a great engineer doesn't mean you can talk without mumbling and swallowing half your words. One of these Tesla engineers I couldn't understand about 20% of his words.
@@machoopichoo2 - You joke, but there is truth in what you say. Many highly accomplished “nerds“ are extremely introverted, and have difficulty speaking in a public setting.
The Enginerring is probably very good. FSD isn't ready, but will be one day. What I just don't get is what is the excitement all about? I don't use Taxis, why would I? I have a cheap car which costs less per mile than any Taxi and it's right there when I need it. No need to call for one and wait. Taxis have their place, but am I the only one who can't see this as a massive market? Maybe it could be two or three times as large as the current market for Taxi rides, but probably not much more. The reason people don't use cabs isn't cost. It's convenience. Even if it was free, I'd still use my own car.
Robotaxi will be cheaper than owning your own car. Owning a car is a huge financial burner. If you ever lived in a south east Asian hotspot city, you ll understand. Getting a grab(like Uber) here is so cheap and convenient. I would never even consider owning my own vehicle there. Same thing will happen with robotaxi
@@st-ex8506 Some dipper posting on another channel was adamant that it was going to have hub motors because the back wheels are larger than the front. I told him it was a bad solution looking for a problem. It's a bit of an ongoing joke for Brian me.

Brian thank you. That was wonderful. There are door pockets, they could put a USB C for charging a telephone !
People will forget their phones and then blame tesla - there can’t be any storage in the cab - people will use it like a rubbish bin otherwise.
Does the trunk fit a cello?
I thought two cellos was the key metric. It would definitely fit one.

Hi Brian, great work on the cybercab. Question, does the cybercab brake by wire? Did you ask the question?
Yes, he did, but he's not telling.
I imagine it would have to, unless they put a little break pedal in the front area and have an Optimus leg press it. ;^)
Given that Cybercab has no steering wheel or pedals, the answer is effectively yes, although arguably the question is meaningless.
@@JohnSmith-x3y8h There is a question as to if there is any hydraulics used whatsoever in breaking, and my answer would be yes.
@@machoopichoo2 Brake-by-wire has NOTHING to do with the brakes being hydraulic.
Such a good baby! Amazingly calm and self soothing.
Wallstreet is starting to wake up to Tesla.
Now I get why they want to get rid of the b pillar.Actually the width of the opening is HUGE now that I look at it.
Good job, Brian. But, does it have an airfryer and coffee pot? I need those.
I looked and looked but couldn't find them. 2/10, almost unusable.
How about a toilet for road trips?
Thank God the backdrop is wrinkle-free...

I wonder, were they running cybercabs on V13 on 10/10? Because internally they would have had access a lot earlier.
Yes they were. It was re-skinned for the event, but v13 underneath.
Monroe has a post "Fact-Checking Tesla..." re "That Video" and a claim of 60% less parts
will they have audio response for blind people?
No …
Most blind people are capable of using an iPhone due to built in features. That’s all that’s needed to use Cybercab.
WHAT ABOUT THE DOORS!!!!😂
Shush, you.
There’s 2 of them.

Does it ride like a BMW n the roads??? Quiet and fast??
I’ve NEVER seen a BMW taxi. I’m guessing there’s a reason for that.
Taxis don’t need to be fast.
EVs are inherently quieter than ICE vehicles.
Any new or improved camera cleaning tech on the Cybercab? My Y's rear camera becomes useless with one drop of water.
I hate it when that happens !
