Luckily they got their Karma last I heard the coach for the Varsity team noticed they were doing this and refused to let them on the team for the rest of high school so they all changed sports.

He had a history of being an asshole to just about everybody, including his teammates. They eventually stopped listening to him and started ignoring him, which he didn't take well. But he went though some major character development with some of the characters, and he started looking at things differently. This scene was the beginning of him not being an asshole for once, but being a proper team leader and a friend. Which is why when he asked for the tape, people were confused and asking what he was doing. It was a nice change at the time of the show. A much needed feel-good moment. I need to rewatch Ted Lasso. That show was so sweet.
