من نَصيبينَ ومنْ حرّانْ، حملْنا الحبَ الى لبنانْ،
والرها راحتْ تنشدُهُ، وطناً للحقِ وللانسانْ،
صهلتْ خيل الفكرِ هنا، سمعَ الشرقُ صهيلَ الحصانْ،
لا يعرِفُ معنى للحرية، منْ لا يعرفُ كيفَ تُصان.

ʻAd al-nasru wa-fi Lubnan, ṣara lana waṭanun wa-kayan,
Walana n-nahru walana l-baḥru, min Aram aʻila Kanʻaan,
Faṣ-ṣaḥra u janaḥu n-nasri, wa-qalbu n-nasri humu s-Suriyan.
Wa-qalbu n-nasri humu s-Suriyan.
Ašʻalna ḍ-ḍawa ʻali l-kutubi, ṣarat ajrasan min ḏahabi,
ʻAmmarna jasran min Athina, ʻila Baġdad aʻila š-šubi,
Nabaḍat bil-ḥaqi madarisuna, falaqana al-ʻalma ʻila l-ʻArabi,
Wa ʻali anwari ḥaḍaratina, kabura š-šarqu waṣara nabī.
Min Naṣibina wa-min Ḥarran, ḥamalna al-ḥʻuba ʻila Lubnan,
Wal-Ruha rāḥat tunšiduhu, waṭan al-ḥaqi wal-ʻinsan,

The eagle is back, and in Lebanon, we now have a nation and a state,
The river is ours and the sea is ours, from Aram to Canaan,
The desert is the eagle's wing, and the eagle's heart is the Syriac people.

we are not syrian arabs, we are arameans

That's something that has been troubling me a lot lately, we are from Aram (Aram-Dimashq in the case of my family), not "Syria" which is the name given to our land by the Romans for administrative purpose. Same goes with Arameans from Iraq who identifies as "Assyrians", although their language (Suret) is derived from Aramaic, and not Akkadian. Why using the name of our former colonizers to refer to ourself? @@BestVideosSuryoyo I am also wondering why people are so much focusing on the Syriac script, while we still have our original alphabet, that is even still used today by Israelis
Let's hope one day we'll be able to give birth again to a real Aramean state and that we'll be able to erase all the "arabization" and "islamization" brainwashing our people had to endure. We were one of the most advanced civilizations until Arabs came and made the majority of us forget about our roots.
The Syriacs did not bring any science to the Arabs. The Arabs only made science dicoveries better. In fact algebra was discovered by Al Khwarizmi and not by Charbel Makhlouf. Syriac movement is racist towards Arabs and thinks of them as less than humans.
