My hair twin regarding how ours handles styling. Too much manipulation causes breakage, no matter what our care routine is. I am all about leaving it alone in some braids/twists for a while, then seeing what the hair is doing later.

If your hair be dry you aren't adding oil a second time in the sealing. My hair is similar texture and my hair spray moisturized. My stylist is a low porosity hair beast and he says people skip the additional oil adding time.

Technically it’s not dry. Her black castor oil infused water is a liquid, a water based product. Her hair is quite damp, it’s not dry at all.
My stylist told me to always use bottled distilled water w/just a few drops of leave in conditioner...this is beautiful!!
Makes so much sense to "not" go all the way up to roots with the gel.
