- Let's build my huge solar battery using BYD cells.
I will be using 6 pieces of 250Ah 24v BYD Battery for a total of 750Ah Battery at 51.2 volts

Wala pa po.
Kaya pala naubos yun mga old version ng BYD na 25.6V binili mo ng lahat. Bulky na ang size ng 25.6v/250AH na binebenta ngayun nila ngayun.
Matagal ko na po yan nabili nov 2021 pa super tagal ko lang talaga masetup dahil busy pa.
Boss good day puede bang i series ang cylindirical 32650 sa prismatic battery same voltage at capacity tnx.
pwede pero not advisable.
boss may tanong lang ako bakit maliit ang mga size ng 3.7v ..kay sa 3.2v na lifepo4..salamat.😀
May malaki rin po na 3.7v. Kanina lang may nagbebenta ng 100+ah na 3.7v cells sa fb that looks like lifepo4 cells. Mas madami lang talaga gumagawa ng 18650 cells kaya yun ang kadalasang nakikita nyo

Sir, pde Po bang single wire un BMS and active balance papuntang battery. Meron aqng terminal block na qng saan magkkta Ang bms wire at active balance. Then terminal to battery single wire. Maraming salamat. More power!

bms yes, active balancer not required but nice to have kung wala sa balance cells mo since ito ay used cells na, I expect na mawawala sa balance ito kaya lalagyan ko rin ng active balancer

hindi pa nagwork sa akin yan. I think it only applies if its connected sa scc. Will explain that soon on a new video.

Gaano mo katagal gagamitin?
0.8hp ay nasa 600 watts
So kung 12v battery mo 600w / 12v = 50Amps
So you need at least 50Ah para 1C lang ang discharge rate mo. Mas mababa ang discharge rate sa battery mas ok.
To get how long it will run 50Ah * 12v = 600Wh
600Wh / 600Watts = 1 hour
Adjust mo nalang mga details para makuha mo kung ano target mo na run time

@SolarMinerPH thanks for the response. Just thinking about LFP calendar aging thought about these BYD batteries.
baka 7 to 5 years na siguro yan, so far ok parin naman, hindi balanced yun cells but that is to be expected kasi used cells na sila probably the reason why they were replaced in the first place.
Possible pala na tulog BMS kung magkaiba ang reading sa battery at sa out ng BMS kahit hindi gaanong malayo,.tanong ko po kung ndi nyo b gimising ang BMS ay mag function kaya sya ng maayos sa set up?at anu possible mangyari?salamat po
Hindi po magwowork. Babagsak yun voltage nyan once nilagyan mo ng load.

Pagdating ng umaga 6am may 25.9-26V pang tira
@@SolarMinerPH bumabagsak po sa akin ng mabilis pag may load from 28.8v pero sa 26.5-25.9v sya nagtatagal
Normal po yun pag bagsak ng voltage pag may load. Resting voltage po nya yan.
Kapag tulog po kasi may madedetect ka na voltage probably galing sa natirang voltage sa capacitor ng BMS pero pag nagkabit ka ng load mawawala na yun voltage na yun at baba na.
Imagine na nalng ninyo kung gaano tayo ka yaman, ang bansang Mahralika ay sana hindi na ma alipin ng bulok ng reliion, politics at saka bulok na pag iisip! Maraming salamt po!

Anything is dangerous kung hindi nakasetup ng maayos. Isa pa lifepo4 po sya so hindi sya basta basta nagliliyab.

@@SolarMinerPH ok.. so what would be the recommended current to charge those batteries or i mean the target current.. coz im a little confused on my setup so i need to know some tips on you.. i have 2 byd 12v 250ah wired in series with a daly 8s and a balancer.. my scc is charging 60amps and i can full charge it by noon time.. so im planning to add another 2 and parallel it to double the capacity which will be then a 24v 500ah. so i dont have an idea on how to charge them, my scc can deliver 120amps maxed.. and powering it with a 6000 watt panel (12 trina 500w) if u could give me numbers on how to charge it. it would be a great help for me sir.. again thanx for the acknowledgement... Just double your charging current if you double your capacity.
it is recommended to charge lithium batteries at 0.2C to 0.5C only
For a 500Ah battery that is 100A and 250A respectively
You can also look at your target charge time 0.2C will charge your batteries in 5 hours and 0.5C will fully charge it in 2 hours.
To compute how long you will charge your battery just divide Ah with the charge current
500Ah / 100A = 5 hours
500Ah / 250A = 2 hours
Stay within the 2-5 hours charging time and you should be fine.

btw sir do i need to add another 8s bms and an 8s active balancer before i parallel it? im still waiting for the 2 batteries to arrive.. having problems to get a single 24v from shoppe or lazada (shipping add not supported) so i settled on 2 12's hehehe

Hindi ko po na top balance pero nilagyan ko napo ng bms at balancer, problema po kasi may isang cell na uunang mapunu d pa rin balance, tapos ung jbd na bms ang indicators ng battery per cell hindi tally sa battery kung tinitester, patulong sana ako sir
Fully charge it and then wait for the active balancer to balance all the cells. Then fully charge it again until all the cells are fully charge to 3.6v
Make sure na yun connections ng bms ay tight para sure na same ang voltage na madedetect ng bms. If its already tight and secure pero iba ang voltage na nadedetect its probably a defective bms. If hindi naman super layo ng difference ok lang po yun.

Hindi ko pa nacompute uli ngayon yun price to watthour ratio nya pero parang sa ngayon ay mahal na itong BYD mas ok pa siguro ibang cells kaysa dito like yun CALB or mag new cells ka nalang para hindi issue ang nawawala sa balance na cells.

you can actually use thinner wires like 18-21 awg. I will use it to parallel my batteries soon and for the active balancers kaya makapal na wires ginagamit ko.
