I just want to say you moved me to tears. My wife of eight years left me alone with two children (their step mother) and every gentle syllable softly broke me down in the best way possible. Beautiful! When I hear this song, I have memories of when my grandmother was alive. Sadly she died 9 years ago in 2011 back when I was only 6 years old. I work a very lonely job, long hours spent by my self alone with my thorghts, untill i one day i met a friend of a friend, she was in a similar position where she had big days studying and loved to chat for hours to decompress, about anything. So i got her number and we started talking over phone, we got on like a house on fire and for 11 months, we talked almost everyday while i was at work and she was at home. her studies were hard on her, i always made her laugh when was sad. I Always reassured her when she was anxious. I thought one day we could be together but i never told her how i felt so when she told me that she got a boyfriend it felt like my soulmate had been taken from me. over a course of a month she got busyer and busyer and what we had faded away. Untill one day out of pure pain and desperation i told her how i felt and that i couldn't sit here at my work pretending that we still have that connection. and that its not fair on her boyfriend. So i stopped talking to her.
I've known about this song since i first saw toystory 2 as a kid in the 2000s. But i only became connected to it in within the last month.
