- Driving Uber & Lyft in Ft Lauderdale | Are We Turning The Corner? This week surprised me a bit but I also changed my timeframes for driving some, this next week will tell the story if I got lucky or not. Is there a language barrier with most ride shares in Ft.Lauderdale. I had issues with getting a ride share in Miami from drivers that had English listed in their profile … but when I ordered the ride they kept canceling bc no one actually spoke or understood English. 2 hours I waited due to the language barrier. I’m hoping Ft. Lauderdale won’t be the same as I will need a ride to the port
Them cutting PT would be a bad idea. And like with anything they try they won’t stick to it. They said they raised driver pay 10-14% short and long, but if that even happened it lasted what a couple weeks? They don’t have the loot to price war, someone needs to absorb them and fire everyone and change the carpet, they’re a joke.
Can't disagree with ya, they are being set up to be sold. Anyone that says Surge, PT or bonuses are a thing of the past and we aren't seeing it because of upfront pricing isn't working events or very high demand areas but what do we know, we are just drivers. Appreciate ya!!
We are not public transportation. They even show bus fairs on lyft here in LA
And that's the biggest thing that DRIVERS need to remember, we are NOT a public utility as these apps want to sell themselves as. We are a for profit business same as the apps!!
This monday morning seemed to really surge 8-14-23 higher than it has been in months. Maybe kids going back to school adults going back to work
Could be! I haven't noticed any surge/bonus increase but I've noticed an increase during certain hours for rides.

Yeah bro, my market, New York Long Island‘s been a little slow lately I had to mix in XL with my premiere on Uber and live it’s just so cheap.
They keep squeezing that rock trying to find more blood but there is only dust left, figuring out whats worth the ride or not now is changing. Good Luck up there!

If you can do basic math as a driver you should be able to see low income rides basiclly have you driving for free when all is said and done
Don't disagree here but we have to remember with all these illegal accounts/ drivers sharing accounts, it would be very difficult to get all drivers on the same page.
