In normal maps I run a3 light merc, it’s amazing instant dps w static. It’s not bad for dungeons too, I will switch depending on mods and if there are more cold immunes than lightning immunes
Infinity has never been an option? I guess 6 slotted Mang Song and Earth Shifter are basically tied for best weap on selfuse? Saw your vid with Warshrike and wondered if a selfuse Infinity would be a good idea and then WS on A3 Lightmerc, To boost both him and yourself, but I think losing 6-7 skills and facets using Infinity yourself gotta hurt the overall dmg?
Yea that would a huge sacrifice. The merc isn’t the main source of damage, he’s required for the dual phys and fire immunes and definitely helps on others too, but the majority is cleared by molten boulder. Mastery is tough to come by as well so I think it would be too much.
Great story and explanation! My only concern is that my summons arent so strong woth just one point in skills and my current gear is only 5 all dru skills total (using earthhaker and man songs); how many +dru skills do u think are needed before maps can be done efficiently and safely,?
I’m hesitant giving advice to HC players but at minimum I’d want about 20 plus skills, full resistances and then start with white/blue t1 maps to test the waters.
@@PDTowels 20to +skills roughly, ok thanks! And yes max res is non negotiable in hc; I usually aim to overcap if poss for certain map rolls, or in case of a conv aura pack. Pdr also so important. I'm lvl 85 rn just farming cows with fissure as u recommended. Ss )

how about using doom for merc? hf aura can really helpful
The monsters can’t be slowed so holy freeze, slow movement don’t work. Decrepify as well, but it still gives -10 enemy phys res

SS! I learned that from my one attempt at HC, got gear from a summon necro that was quitting and died right around 85 haha@@Christoff070
