Gentlemen, some info about Bradshaw. You will love this guy. Louisiana boy, 6"4" and played at 235. Crazier than a dog with a mustache. I mean proper crazy guys. He was drafted in 1970 and the Super Steelers of the 70's were built around him. He went to 4 Super bowls and won all 4. One year he came to camp at 215lb and was the fastest guy on the team. And when he took off running it took about 4 guys to bring him down because he instantly became all knees and elbows. I mean nobody liked tackling Terry Bradshaw. He was a High School Javelin star and was offered several scholarships to do it in college and only one college wanted him to play football: Louisiana Tech. And he threw like a javelin thrower, with his index finger on the tip of the ball. A technique like no other before or after him. Threw it poker straight and he could drop it in a bucket from a country mile away. At Louisiana Tech he was second string to a guy who got bored with football and quit to go duck hunting more. Terry said he was so good that had he not quit no one would know Terry's name because he would never have gotten a chance to showcase his skills. That fellow went on to be the Old Man patriarch on the TV show Duck Dynasty. The crazy dude with the long gray beard. Ya that guy. And that just proves truth is stranger than fiction.
Number 4 was a must win to make the playoffs, Number 2 was to save their playoff run which led to a win in Super Bowl XL, Number 1 was the winning play of Super Bowl XLIII
just so your aware, his nickname was "BIG BEN"....also if you appreciate toughness, do a video clip on james harrison and watch how much the game has changed from even the early 2000's to the product that the nfl throws out there now....also if you want to see a quick menacing clip, pull up james harrison 2023 ring of honor video and look at THIS GROWN MAN ON THE FIELD, prolly the most menacing moment of any player on the field and this man has been retired for almost 4/5 years
He also had the greatest rookie season ever went unbeaten as a rookie led his to team to a 3rd super bowl and several AFC Championship appearance Big Ben was so special tough clutch and unique it was an honor to be a Steelers fan and Watch Big Ben for almost 2 decades. Thank you Big Ben Roethlisbeger I went my entire life before Big Ben with the best we got at QB was O'Donnell Stewart Maddox and Bruster I hope we don't have to wait another 20 years to get our next Franchise QB cause it isn't Picketts he plays like a slightly better Tebow the biggest mistake in Steelers history was not drafting Dan the man Marino I hope we don't go on to think that about not Drafting Will Levis cause we drafted Pickett the year before I really like Joey Porter JR but I wish we Drafted Levis
Give Pickett a real Offensive Coordinator before you throw him under the bus. Pickett is the only rookie QB in history to have back to back consecutive game winning touchdowns in his first season. Not even Big Ben did that.
I remember being a kid watching the throw to santonio Holmes in the superbowl and I ran down to block to my buddy’s house to celebrate in the middle of the night. I’m not even a steeler fan but that throw was so insane. 😂
Big Ben got his nick name from one of the local announcers in Pittsburgh because of a high light of him on college running a play called "big ben" he tells the story of it on his podcast "footballin with Ben Roethlisberger"
Big Ben was without a doubt an elite QB when he played and retired an all time great. 18 seasons with Pittsburgh in the most physical division in the NFL and put up all time stats, two SB rings, and all time leading Steeler QB in every major statistical category. Not to mention one of the most clutch QBs in history, 3rd all time in comebacks just behind Brady and Manning.
What made Ben stand out from most QBs is that he was incredibly hard to bring down because he was a big guy. And he had a rocket for a arm and was a very accurate deep throw passer.
@@seangriffin5524his pump fake is the most disgusting pump fake I’ve ever seen. Most qbs if they pumped it as hard as he did, would have lost it out of their hands. I don’t know how he did it
The Steelers bumblebee jersey was a throwback honoring the team from the 1930's. Occassionally all NFL teams will wear something they wore in the past and from days long gone by you only knew the color if you saw the game live since all photos were black and white
I'm 30 now. Started watching football in 5th grade during his rookie year. Him/Troy/and the Bus made me a Steelers fan THATS MY FUCKIN QUARTERBACK and he always will be
Ben was very much one of the toughest guys i've watched. Dude got his nose broke, walked to the sidelines, had it put back into place and ran back on the field. Towards the end of his career we were begging him to retire because he started falling off, but definitely appreciate everything he did for us.
Big Ben. Started his career 15-0 (record), and then won a SB in his 2nd year as a starter during Jerome Bettis (the Bus) last year in the league, getting him his only championship.
@@shibity The head ref of that Super Bowl himself said they messed up. "It was a tough thing for me. I kicked two calls in the fourth quarter and I impacted the game, and as an official you never want to do that," said the veteran of 15 NFL seasons and two Super Bowls. "It left me with a lot of sleepless nights, and I think about it constantly," Leavy said of the February 2006 game. "I'll go to my grave wishing that I'd been better."
Big Ben was my teams QB literally as long as I could remember before last year. A great career to be sure. You guys should consider doing a wiki read during the video to answer some of these questions about his height and career length and maybe some accolades as well. I love watching people learn more about the game Ben played a huge part in getting me addicted to, cheers fellas :)
@@Odd1006 I watch a ton of QB School's analyses of Kenny. He's a weird one for sure. In my opinion hes got the it factor a high level Qb needs in confidence and decision making but misses a lot of routine stuff. Whether it's mainly him or his lack of faith in Canada I guess we wont know for a while. Also gotta remember he got pretty banged up a week and a half ago and has been toughing it out.
The Bumblebee uniforms... I loved them. Also, it spawned the nickname for the offense of that era: the Killer Bees. Most of their top players on offense had names that started with "B:" Big Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown, Leveon Bell, Martavis Bryant, even the kicker, Boswell. The linebacker, Vince Williams, started going by "Bince," even.
my favorite play involving Ben Roethlisberger is when Ravens Haloti Ngata broke his nose 😁to Ben's credit he only missed the next play while getting his nose straightened back into position on the sidelines. he was back on the field right away, tough SOB
I saw Tomlin on his podcast. He talked about that game and said he couldn't look at him in the eye after the broken nose. The guy on the sideline who straightened his nose told him he wasn't sure if it was broken, but apparently his nose was facing a different direction than the rest of his face. It was very obvious it was badly busted.
I think my favorite Big Ben Statistic, he was the winningest QB in the Brown's Stadium in 2017 with 11 wins. Which speaks more to how bad the Brown's QB situation was for the last two decades, but also to his dominance in the AFC north.
He had a winning records vs all 3 teams in the division - overall 67-22-1. A huge chuck of that came at the expense of the Browns - 26-2-1 !! He was 24-10 vs Bengals & 17-10 vs Ravens. Browns dominance includes 12-2-1 in Cleveland and 14-0 at home! In the 2004 draft, Browns chose Kellen Winslow II with the 6th pick, who had a great pedigree and though played well at times, was mostly a disappointment. Especially after being convicted of sexual assault. Typical Brown's circumstance. Steelers picked 11th and chose Ben. 'Nough said!!
7:33 You had it. He did that “weird” scramble because he wouldn’t have been able to throw if he was ahead of the line of scrimmage so he stayed behind it. That was in a Super Bowl. His first of 3 and his first win of 2 in 2005. He was like 22 and it was his 2nd year in the league. He made the backyard football style of play that Mahomes gets tons of credit for now popular. Pump takes, scrambles, launching the ball across field etc. He played for so long (18 years all w/ Steelers) that people forget how mobile he was in his first like 10 seasons. He was elusive (never fast) had a huge arm and was hard to bring down because he’s massive (nickname is Big Ben at 6’5” like 260lbs). It made that style unique to him which is why he won so much and why he will be in the Hall of Fame
He's so underrated it's actually insane. People say he isn't even top 10, while putting Mahomes and Eli manning in there. Ben could have easily had 2-3 more superbowls if the Broncos, Patriots, and Colts weren't all in his conference.
Ben is a big man. Plus, his grip strength was so good he could pull the ball down, have someone grabbing at it, and still make a throw. Defenses couldn't decide what was worse: Ben running or trying to take him in the pocket. The receiver in clip #12 was Ju Ju Smith-Schuster. Played several seasons with the Steelers. Now he's with Kansas city.
I miss Juju!!! He was fantastic on the Steelers, especially paired with Big Ben, Brown, Bryant, and Conner. 😢. Hope he starts to thrive at the Patriots or return to the Steelers.
Lifelong Steelers fan. #49 that throwaway is a great inclusion because it just shows how impossible it was to bring the man down. However, just imagine how hard the hits were that actually DID stop this guy! He was constantly playing through injuries. One famous play he broke his nose and stayed in. Dude was simply the toughest QB ever.
Ben has said that's one of his personal top plays. To get away from Suggs who had a death grip on Ben but then tried to knock the ball out, which lessened his grip on Ben, allowed him to get out of the pocket & throw incomplete to avoid the sack. Suggs hated that play!! LOL
As a Steelers fan, I loved your reaction. Ben was an absolute monster. He played through some crazy injuries in his career, including beating the Ravens after suffering a broken nose (no penalty called on the play either). I know you guys have watched Ray Lewis clips. Ray Lewis and Ben had the utmost respect for eachother because of how they both played the game. They helped shape the greatest rivalry in the NFL.
I love your videos. Lifelong Steeler fan here, this one just made me smile. When I worked at Heinz Field, during a Steeler game I met 3 guys from Australia. One said that he just didn't get American football. I told him its everything America loves: Combat, interrupted by committee meetings followed by judicial review.
Ben played from 2004 to 2021, all with the Steelers. He was tough as nails, played through injuries more than he probably should have. I remember one game he sprained his ankle or something similar and was sitting out, then came back in for the 4th quarter just to beat the Browns. He beat the Browns a lot, actually owned the record for most wins in their stadium until I believe 2019. That final play was for the win of Super Bowl 43, which is a game yinz should definitely watch the full highlights of. Also, Terry Bradshaw was the QB for the Steelers' dynasty in the 70s, anything you can find on that is worth a watch, too. There was a lot of not very good in between.
That #1 play is the most impressive NFL throw I’ve seen considering the circumstances, Super Bowl game in crunch time, squeezes it right over 3 defenders for his receiver to toe tap, could not have been more perfect
Wanna talk about bumbing a Steeler fan out, watching Ben in his prime then going Sunday to Cleveland to watch this offense of today. What a difference a quarterback makes, we miss you ben
Big Ben also holds the NFL record for most 500 yard passing games with 4, three in the regular season, one in the post-season. The record is 554 by Norm van Brocklin in 1951. He was also played for years on the same team as Troy Polamalu.
Ben wasn’t only highly rated for what you can see in video. He was also one of the toughest dudes to ever play the game. Played through a broken nose and numerous other injuries. He was very tough to injure in the first place but even when you did, it didn’t take him out of the game.
Big Ben took the Steelers to the Superbowl 3 times in his first 7 years in the league, winning the first 2 against the Seahawks and Cardinals....Losing the 3rd to the Packers.... Roethlisberger made it to the playoffs 12 times in his 18 seasons in Pittsburgh. His postseason record was 13-10. Terry Bradshaw played for the Steelers in the 70'sand early 80's , leading them to 4 Superbowl victories.
I love these reaction videos and what’s crazy is even without the context how big a moment some of these plays were to the season the game or his legacy or context around who some of these defenders are that he’s just swiping off the plays themselves are still amazing.
he wasn't fast, but he was somehow elusive to bring down, the size helped and he was one of the best ever to recognize threats as they appeared and able to scramble away from them, allowing WR and TEs enough time to find space. Also, he had RIDICULOUS receivers and everyone was on the same page with "just give me a chance to catch it is all I ask." The team dynamic of the steelers in this era was electric. You guys already know about Polamalu on the defense as well... and Ward was the best blocking receiver in NFL history. Rules of the NFL were changed because of him.
Big Ben came in 2004 played against Ray Lewis and Ed Reed 2 times a year (3 sometimes if they played in playoffs) till 2012. Those games were some battles.
The ultimate scrambling QB was Fran Tarkenton, who played from 1961 to 1978, and was at his very best when at age 38 a badly broken leg ended his career. Francis scrambled in the classic sense - to extend the play and buy time to throw the ball, instead of to gain yards with his feet. Defensive players hated Tarkenton for exhausting and embarrassing them.
Just started the video. My guess is that big ben’s #1 play of all time was the Super Bowl 43 throw to Holmes. Greatest super bowl throw of all time. Has to be his best play.
Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown, and Le'Veon Bell were called the killer bees. The uniforms played into the gimmick. The receiver with the two 90+ yard receptions is Juju Smith-Schuster.
The jerseys were an actual vintage jersey from the 30s or so. The jerseys sparked the nickname because they had all three dominated a few games wearing those
In addition to being the only QB to throw for 6 TDs in back to back games he also has the most perfect passer rating games in NFL history and most games with 500 yards passing. He could have easily broken the single game passing yards record but the Steelers stopped throwing mid way through the fourth quarter. Was a crazy historic passing performance.
Ben Roethlisberger aka Big Ben was something else. His stats against the AFC North (the division he played in) alone are crazy. Guy could always shrug off a giant defender and somehow escape to make a huge play happen. When you needed him most Ben was there extending plays and rocketing the ball out to a receiver. The guy is one of the best at extending plays to ever play the position and his pump fakes were like no other. Absolute beast of a quarterback.
Crazy Ben played for so long grew up watching him since I can remember being able to understand sports. He’s really who got me into sports because that’s right when he came into the scene. The entire city was buzzing around him when he first came in.
Huge Steeler's fan here. Ashmed after Damo's challenge it took me until play 43 to realize number one was gonna be was gonna be Santonio's superbowl winning catch. As far as the bee uni's go I was never a fan but I know a few Steelers fans who were big fans. A word on Antonio Brown, in my opinion he could have been a top 5 WR all time had he not lost his head. I'm not excusing his off the field behavior but if there is one guy that currently has CTE it's Antonio Brown.
I blame that dirty hit from Vontez Burfict, throwing a forearm to the head, as the cause of Antonio Browns' downward spiral. He was a team player and a right guy until that hit. After that, his bizarre aberant behaviour began, and he has never been the same since.
Terry is recorded as the last play calling QB. With Landry calling plays in from the sideline all teams started doing that but Terry played into the 80s where all teams were sending plays into the huddle by then.
he did play for a long time, to give a sense of how long. His Helmet only changed once, and that was because the helmet he used to wear was banned from use by the NFL, so he switched to a newer design of the same manufacture Riddell.
enjoy your videos and love your accents. Terry Bradshaw was the quarterback for the steelers in the 70's winning 4 superbowls. Check out Antonio Brown (AB), although his career didn't end to well but when he was a steeler he was the top player with big ben. :)
As a Steelers fan we didn’t realize how good we had it for years with Big Ben. He did decline a bit and turn into an immobile rock in the pocket his last few years but he was special in his prime.
A Terry Bradshaw video would be great, but a video of the whole mid 1970's Steelers team would be better. They won four Super bowls with some of the greatest players of all time and their defense was known as the Steel Curtain. Worth a deep dive!
First team to win 3 Super Bowls, first to win 4 Super Bowls, first team to win 6 Super Bowls which only one other team has done, and the only team to win 4 in a 6 year span!
Big Ben: - Came in as a back-up for the injured Tommy Maddox and nearly lead the team to a Super Bowl during his rookie year (2004). - Two-Super Bowls Championships ('05 and '08) - Holds nearly every Steelers passing record - All 18 seasons with the Steelers (2004-21) Absolute legend.
18:24 The immaculate Redemption Ben Roethlisberger saving Tackle Save Steelers Season Colts missed the Field goal Steelers want to win their fifth Superbowl Beating Seattle Seahawks 21-10
16:35, those throwback uniforms where modeled after the First Ever Steelers uniforms', back when the uniforms where wool sweaters and designs like that where common.
Thanks for letting me relive my childhood mates. He was truly great. I was 7 years old when he was drafted by the Steelers in 04 and was at his last game in Pittsburgh on January 3rd, 2021, when he beat the browns one last time. Chanting "Thank you Ben" with all of Pittsburgh in the freezing cold was amazing. And yeah, we miss him lol
Tom, Peyton, and Ben for most of the 2000s were top quarterbacks in the AFC…they met plenty of times in the playoffs or the AFC Championship game…usually stopping the other from making it to the Superbowl…the stripped uniforms were a throwback to the football uniforms worn in the 1920s…
Once again you guys got it right, Terry Bradshaw (4 Super Bowls) & Ben (2 Super Bowls) played their entire career in Pittsburgh. It's a pleasure watching you both & seeing the love you have for athletic achievement regardless of the sport. America football is my favorite, though Hockey & Basketball come very close, then the Olympic sports both Winter & Summer.
Fun fact, Big Ben had more wins at Cleveland browns stadium when the browns came back in 1999 than any regular regular browns qb did till 2020. Remember Big Ben only played 1 game a season at the browns stadium, that was how bad the browns were at qb where they were changing qbs all the time. It finally took until 2020 when browns qb at the time, Baker Mayfield finally broke it.
For my money, the play at 8:48 is the finest moment in Roethlisberger's career, getting flushed out of the pocket, scrambling around avoiding a 5-man rush, running at full speed to the high side of the field with a defender breathing down his neck, spinning around and throwing a dart to the complete other side of the field for a first down, and in a Super Bowl no less, it doesn't get much better than that for any QB ever, even eliciting a fist pump from the normally humble and reserved Heath Miller.
Ben was one of a kind. He won his first Super Bowl his second year in the league, he self admittedly didn’t play well in that game (his throw and TD run where he barely broke the plane against the Seahawks are from that Super Bowl). He managed to get back in Super Bowl 43 which was an instant classic where he threw the game winning TD. They managed to get back a 3rd time two years later where they lost to Aaron Rodgers and the packers. Craziest part is, Ben’s best statistical years and best supporting cast came between 2013 and 2018, but they were never able to make it back to the Super Bowl since their defense went downhill following several retirements from all pro defensive players, coupled with some key injuries in the playoffs during a few years.
Ben was our qb for 18 years,. He spent his entire career with the Steelers, holds all the Steelers passing records, and stands as one of the best to have ever played the game. He was known for being surprisingly elusive, especially for his size, and creative when scrambling, and very hard to bring down, was incredibly tough and was a joy to watch! Also, the tackle they show him make was significant because it was the divisional playoff game against the Colts. Running back Jerome Bettis, who hadnt had a fumble all year, loses the ball, Harper grabs it, and has a near-clear shot to the endzone. Ben tackles him, the Colts miss the game-tying field goal, Steelers win and go on to win the Conference Championship game against Denver, and then the Super Bowl.
Steeler Nation baby. Ben has probably the best pump fake from any QB & he could evade the sack like no other. My first football memory was Bens rookie year, dudes a legend
Love this content! I’ve been watching for a little while now and it’s awesome to see how much you guys have learned! Also a huge Steelers fan and Ben is the best Steelers QB of all time and statistically top 5 QB in NFL history
Hes one of the best to ever play. Hes top 10 all time in almost every QB category, he holds all Steelers QB records. 2 time super bowl champ, rookie of the year and multiple pro bowl appearances
it's fun re-living these moments with people that havent seen them before and appreciate them. crazy when they happened live. 16:36 it's funny you mention the 'bee' part. during their prime their nickname was the 'killer B's': Ben, Leveon Bell and Anotonio Brown
So glad that throwaway while Suggs is trying to do everything he can to take Ben down was shown and acknowledged. I remember watching that game and never been in such awe of a simple throwaway. Couldn't believe he managed to stay up and get the ball out of bounds with a beast like Suggs ripping at him. Ben's size and abilities made him such a unique QB, not sure there will ever be another like him. As a lifelong Pittsburgher, I am so appreciative of Ben staying with the Steelers for all 18 seasons of his career and all the entertainment he us.
The thing about Big Ben that i always loved was his toughness as a QB. I Remember in one game the ravens broke his nose and they still won the game. Dude would play injured all the time and still perform. I'd also always say that when Ben would hold the ball i knew it was getting cought because he'd hold the ball only until a guy was open. I miss those days and the Ravens rivalry
One of the crazy things that Ben could do is pump fake hard. Cornerbacks and safetys would bite, thinking he was going to throw, and he pulls it b@ck and throws somewhere else. It was because of how hard he could fake the throw. Large hands and good strength in the wrist, arm and hands. But there’s a long list of things that made him one of the best ever.
Also, continuing from below...you might notice that he has the best pump fake for a pass and would make a full throwing motion without throwing it because his hands were so big and strong---this was a great advantage to get defensive personnel moving where he wanted to move them. The play against Carolina at about 21:15 is a good example with 2 pump fakes before he flicks it for the TD.
loved watching this as a steelers fan. His nick name was Big Ben. Only played for Pitt. The only QB in NFL history with 3 500yd games. The Steelers GOAT
Ben Roethlisberger played his entire NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers 2004-2021. Holds several franchise records, most games played, most games started, longest tenure, Almost every single passing record. Won 2 Super Bowls, Super Bowl XL (40) [vs. Seattle Seahawks] and XLIII (43) [vs. Arizona Cardinals]. He is now enjoying retirement with family, doing a weekly podcast (Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger) about football and various other things.
Big Ben was special. 6ft 5in, 240lbs. Was the 11th overall pick in the 2004 draft by the Steelers. Two QB's went before him in that draft....Eli Manning and Philip Rivers. Ben played his entire career in Pittsburgh and retired in 2022. He played in three Super Bowls and won two of them. Easy first ballot Hall of Famer.
Ben is top 10 in literally every QB stat that you can think of. 3 super bowl appearances, and he won 2 of them. I believe he’s 2nd all time if 4th quarter comebacks. He is the ONLY QB to have 6 touchdowns in back to back games. He was known for breaking tackles of 300lbs defenders, keeping his eyes downfield the whole time & then throwing a beautiful deep pass down the field. He was different, he was special, and his style was like no other. They called it “backyard football style”. He was truly a 1 of 1. I loved this man with all my damn heart. The memories he made for us fans will never be duplicated. If you watch his final home game the fans were chanting his name, and there were thousands of signs showing appreciation for him. After the game he was crying & taking it all in. He then did a lap around the field to give a high five to all of the fans he could. He will always be missed as our QB.
Damn bro you bout to make me cry. That's my fucking quarterback. Dude was otherworldly in his prime. Idc if he coukd move his last 3 years. That's my mans
As a Steelers fan, one of my favorites for years was Hines Ward. Sooooooo many people in the league hated him, but Steelers fans appreciated his guts and toughness. Most receivers don't block well or take pride in that part of their game. Hines did, and I think the other teams were offended that a wide receiver had the audacity to hit them so hard some got knocked onto their butts (I'm censoring myself for TH-cam purposes). They also hated that every time he made a catch and was tackled he popped up with a huge smile on his face. He was considering dirtiest player in the NFL for a few years, but if he'd been on their team, they would have loved him. After all, he is the all-time leader in receiving yards for the Steelers, won 2 Super Bowls with them, and was the MVP of one of them.

Not only is he big, his nickname is literally Big Ben
What made Ben stand out from most QBs is that he was incredibly hard to bring down because he was a big guy. And he had a rocket for a arm and was a very accurate deep throw passer.
Don’t forget his absolutely nasty pump fake
@@seangriffin5524his pump fake is the most disgusting pump fake I’ve ever seen. Most qbs if they pumped it as hard as he did, would have lost it out of their hands. I don’t know how he did it
ginourmous hands and crazy strength@@dylanholman3
He also had the best pump fakes
Reminds me of Steve McNair
The Steelers bumblebee jersey was a throwback honoring the team from the 1930's. Occassionally all NFL teams will wear something they wore in the past and from days long gone by you only knew the color if you saw the game live since all photos were black and white
ND THEY NEVER LOST WHEN THEY WORE THEM JERSEYS
These and the block number jerseys are my favorites.
@@lewisloos7277 I've wished we could go back to the block number jersey's of the 70s.
Thats my Quarterback!! Heinz field his last home game had me crying like a little baby! "THANK YOU BEN!!"
I'm 30 now. Started watching football in 5th grade during his rookie year. Him/Troy/and the Bus made me a Steelers fan
THATS MY FUCKIN QUARTERBACK and he always will be
Ben was very much one of the toughest guys i've watched.
Was that the one where the refs gave them the game with multiple bad calls vs the opponent? Felt like that game was scripted.
@@TigerWoodsLibido That's every single one if you listen to fans of the losing team lol
@@Aderbjnah it was a good call at the time, Ref just wanted attention
@@Aderbjwatch the whole game, officiating was terrible vs both teams. Leavy's love affair with Holmgren and Hasselback...really suspect.
This was a nice trip down memory lane. Been a Steelers fan since I was born in 99. Ben is severely missed💔
Yea really missing ben rn, not sure picketts the guy
@@Odd1006 I watch a ton of QB School's analyses of Kenny. He's a weird one for sure. In my opinion hes got the it factor a high level Qb needs in confidence and decision making but misses a lot of routine stuff. Whether it's mainly him or his lack of faith in Canada I guess we wont know for a while. Also gotta remember he got pretty banged up a week and a half ago and has been toughing it out.
I remember the days before Ben. A lot of Kenny Picketts.
@@TrevorAlexander-b3blooking alright without Canada but this is better the cards game
I was hoping that moment would be on the video
I remember watching that live. I couldn’t believe he went back in. Ben was one of the toughest players i ever saw.
The man beat em 33 times
@@mrfrostwing Anyone whos not speaking with a negative bias knows Ben is top ten. I wouldnt say top 5, maybe not top 7, but definitely top 10
Juju is on the Patriots now. Probably haven't noticed though because he hasn't done much of anything.
I miss Juju!!! He was fantastic on the Steelers, especially paired with Big Ben, Brown, Bryant, and Conner. 😢. Hope he starts to thrive at the Patriots or return to the Steelers.
He was a clown
Lifelong Steelers fan. #49 that throwaway is a great inclusion because it just shows how impossible it was to bring the man down. However, just imagine how hard the hits were that actually DID stop this guy! He was constantly playing through injuries. One famous play he broke his nose and stayed in. Dude was simply the toughest QB ever.
I think that was the same game. Broken nose and sprained ankle. The fact that he escaped Suggs on the bum ankle was what was so impressive.
Thank you, we really appreciate the comment!
Guy wasnt easy to take down, extends plays, pump fake god, tough as nails, broke his nose and kept playing one time, hall of famer, forever my qb #7
Yinz !!! 😅😅
Ben played 18 seasons for the Steelers. He’s 6’5”, about 259 pounds.
Big Ben Rapistberger.
One of the greatest to ever do it.
💯
That was the original uniforms at the team's inception. Also, the two toe touch was instituted by Lynn Swann of the Steelers.
Ben made it look easy. Love his podcast. Dude is a Pittsburgh LEGEND. 🖤💛🏈
best podcast imo is with bill cowher :) love it
Yes, “T. Bradshaw” is “Terry Bradshaw.” He quarterbacked the Steelers to four Super Bowl victories in the 1970s.
I like that you literally sorted out the Big Ben nickname and figured out the Bee Jersey's were a bad idea in under 5 min shows your quality analysis
I love these reaction videos and what’s crazy is even without the context how big a moment some of these plays were to the season the game or his legacy or context around who some of these defenders are that he’s just swiping off the plays themselves are still amazing.
Love this, thank you!
he wasn't fast, but he was somehow elusive to bring down, the size helped and he was one of the best ever to recognize threats as they appeared and able to scramble away from them, allowing WR and TEs enough time to find space.
My sister loved when he would start running, frequently calling him an elephant amongst the gazelles.
Big Ben came in 2004 played against Ray Lewis and Ed Reed 2 times a year (3 sometimes if they played in playoffs) till 2012. Those games were some battles.
Terry Bradshaw Was Hall of Fame Quarterback Pittsburgh Steelers he won 4 Superbowls 1978 MVP he's played Pittsburgh 70's though early 80's
number 2 youll never unbderstand lol just how huge that tackle was
The toe tap TD to Holmes in the SB against the cardinals
I like his style and the pump fake is unmatchable. Kenny needs to do that.
Ben is an unforgettable QB. Seemed like all the rookie qbs after him looked like him. But none could copy his success. ❤
Defensive players hated Tarkenton for exhausting and embarrassing them.
he had the most effective pump fake in the NFL. he even fooled the camera men on numerous occasions
Just started the video. My guess is that big ben’s #1 play of all time was the Super Bowl 43 throw to Holmes. Greatest super bowl throw of all time. Has to be his best play.
What a great way to wake up!!! His pump fake was legend too! Thanks mates
"he looks like a TOYYYTTT END " HAHAHA love this channel I just subscribed much love guys 😅
🤣🤣🤣 Welcome aboard 💪
Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown, and Le'Veon Bell were called the killer bees. The uniforms played into the gimmick. The receiver with the two 90+ yard receptions is Juju Smith-Schuster.
The jerseys were an actual vintage jersey from the 30s or so. The jerseys sparked the nickname because they had all three dominated a few games wearing those
Don’t forget about Boswell and Bryant the other two killer bees 🐝
the bee uniforms were a throw back to the old days
Yes, CTE is a probable diagnosis, though it won't be certain until after he dies.
I blame that dirty hit from Vontez Burfict, throwing a forearm to the head, as the cause of Antonio Browns' downward spiral. He was a team player and a right guy until that hit. After that, his bizarre aberant behaviour began, and he has never been the same since.
@@fatlover1 Me too. Burfict knocked him bad - really bad. I think Burfict is a f**king criminal.
Bradshaw was a play-caller QB, he called all his own plays for the offense, and won 4 superbowls doing so!
So was everyone else in the 70s they didn’t have radios in helmets.
There was a couple of seasons Terry didn't trust his play calling and he asked that they be signaled in from the sideline.
Big Ben:
- Came in as a back-up for the injured Tommy Maddox and nearly lead the team to a Super Bowl during his rookie year (2004).
- Two-Super Bowls Championships ('05 and '08)
- Holds nearly every Steelers passing record
- All 18 seasons with the Steelers (2004-21)
Absolute legend.

I like escapability because it makes it sound like a magician.
I was at the game on number 10!! What a play!!!! It’s actually my profile pic 😂
His pump fakes were so good that he even faked out the camera men!!! BTW he was there for 18 seasons
The way Ben could extend plays was his signature move! He didn't quite move the same towards the end of his career. He was so fun to watch.
As a big Steelers fan, this brought back so many memories
Tom, Peyton, and Ben for most of the 2000s were top quarterbacks in the AFC…they met plenty of times in the playoffs or the AFC Championship game…usually stopping the other from making it to the Superbowl…the stripped uniforms were a throwback to the football uniforms worn in the 1920s…
His nickname was Big Ben so this is fitting
#2 for a QB is a defensive play, thats crazy
Once again you guys got it right, Terry Bradshaw (4 Super Bowls) & Ben (2 Super Bowls) played their entire career in Pittsburgh. It's a pleasure watching you both & seeing the love you have for athletic achievement regardless of the sport. America football is my favorite, though Hockey & Basketball come very close, then the Olympic sports both Winter & Summer.
Big Ben's ability to move and scan the field at all times was unmatched. Insanely versatile player and a hall of famer through and through.
Played from 2004 to 2021 all for the Steelers with 6 pro bowls and won 2 super bowls and made 3
yeah no, Ben never won any MVPs not even in during his SB wins.
@@-EchoesIntoEternity- ohh yeah dumb me thx
Thank you 🙏
Hes one of the best to ever play.
Dont forget 'Bince' Williams
A player you guys may have missed amongst the chaos there was Hines Ward (86). Watching him was what got me into NFL here in Ireland.
That #2 play is called "the tackle." That was probably the best NFL game I've ever watched. I re-watch it on TH-cam every few years.
The 2nd play that was shown, is literally my favorite play ever. Him getting away from Suggs to throw the ball away was some unbelievable stuff
Ony quarterback in NFL history with back to back 6 TD. games.
He was our franchise QB we drafted him and he ended his career with us. He was AMAZING!
