Hi Drew, thank you for your inspirational video. I will definitely try making an indoor tree. I use wood chips available from nurseries around my plants. The wood chips give off a wonderful earthy, woody fragrance. Another plus to using woodchips is they absorb essential oils, so if you use a fragrance you enjoy, the room smells fabulous. Thank you for all your projects , I have loved everyone of them. Gale.

i find it so crazy that i have been out SHOPPING literally all day today looking for a faux tree, didnt find one, and now u posted this. Its for my chameleons so when the nice weather gets here i can put them in a tree by the window but NOBODY had a tree with any type of branch that would hold a chameleon. Now I got ideas that when spring comes I can just make my own. THANK YOU

You did a fantastic job on the branches. So versatile also to make slight changes to the tree and branches for the different seasons. Have to try it!!

I have a faux ficus that looks terrible. It's been moved so many times, it looks pitiful. I have been wanting to take it apart (it has 3 full parts), and try reshaping it, but have been too intimitaded to do it. After watching your video, I think I'm going to give it a go. It won't look Drew perfect, but, I'll try it anyway. I told my son if I can't get it right, I'll just cut the bloody thing up and use the parts in different projects. I loved that you showed yourself cutting off the branches. You're the best! 🤗

The best time of year to take branches from a tree is in the fall. Right now is not a good time. If you notice green when you start cutting, it is alive. Please take only dead branches, which will be brown the whole way through.

Love this!! Last winter I found a big branch and brought it in to diy something. I left it by the window until I had time to diy. After a week my daughter screamed : what is that???!!!! A tone of baby caterpillars had hatched and were all over the window and wall and just everywhere. lol I laughed so hard, me and my ideas of bringing nature inside…. Anyhow I think the heat of the house let those babies hatch.lol first time this has happened to me and I bring in branches all the time . lol, love the way your tree turned out!!

Ohhh my gosh! I ALMOST had this issue with a tree I tossed in my yard yrs ago! ( it was just getting in my way )
But now I want a Sakura tree. So I thought I’d use that! So I power washed it n all. But the spider sacs were TOO strong! So I carefully clipped all the “life” off the tree leaves and put them in a safe spot outside. Theeen I brought my old fake tree back in to revamp it.
But my LORD! I hadn’t even thought about bug sacs & cacoons until I saw one id power washed over! ( I didn’t want to hurt any life.. ) so I hope I didn’t damage the casings.. but I’m also glad they’re not in my home hatching too lol!

Looks great! But watch out for insects especially if gathering in the winter. When you bring them in your nice warm home, they will remerge and become pests. That happened to me and it was not pretty. If you have a garage I would bring it there instead to see if any bugs come out or soak them them in water and dish soap and then dry them.
