She began her career in1995 in the Rajkumar camp in Savyasachi and Aata Hudugaata starring Shivaraj kumar and Raghavendra Rajkumar.
she acted as the lead role in Shivarajkumar starrer Om.
In the year 1996 she acted in Namoora Mandara Hoove opposite Shivarajkumar and Ramesh Aravind. In the same year she branched out to Malayalam and Telagu Movie industry. The prince movie opposite Mohanlal was her Malayalam Debut and performed in Dharma Chakram as her Telugu Debut.
In the year 1999 she performed in Chandramukhi Pranasakhi, Upendra and Nanu nan Hendathiru.In the same year she performed in a Telugu movie Devi which was later dubbed in Hindi.
In the year 2000 she saw six releases where she played opposite Vishnuvardhan in the movie Yajamana. Daivathinte Makan in Malayam was one of her notable in the same year.
She performed in Kanasugara a tamil remake of Unnidathi Ennai Koduthan which fetched her a award for her portrayal of a simple housewife Character in 2001.
In 2002 she performed in Parva co-starring Vishnuvardhan and Roja Selvamani.
In 2003 She was praised by critics for her complex role in the film Singaaravva.
In 2004, Apthamitra, a remake of Malayalam Manichitrathazhu by P. Vasu where she had to play the leading lady to Vishnuvardhan. She starred in the film as a supporting actress.
She shared screen space with Vishnuvardhan in films like Yajamana, Apthamitra, Jamindaru, Kshana Kshanam, Ekadantha, Parva, Ellaranthalla Nanna Ganda.
She acted in very few films as a supporting character and completely stopped acting after her last release Shishira in 2009.
.She made her comeback for Matte Hutti Banda, Upendra, Inti Prema remake of Soggade Chinni Nayana in 2017.
