Well, here it is everybody: my first out-of-the-DC-metro road trip. I filmed this video late last summer during a last minute vacation, and while I didn't get much footage, I worked hard to make sure I brought home at least _one_ souvenir for you guys. Hope you enjoy!
Speaking of the DC Metro area, the entire old Route 28 bridge over Interstate 66 is now permanently gone. All Route 28 Southbound traffic is now on the temporary collector-distributor road bridge over Interstate 66 until the permanent Route 28 Southbound bridge over Interstate 66 is complete by the time the express lanes open to traffic.
@@EC4U2C_Studioz No way really?? They demolished it that fast?? It's only been a couple of weeks since I was last out there and it sounds like it's already changed dramatically!
@@Mapmaker1559 Yep. Time flies on that interchange. The traffic lights on Route 28 in that area should have been removed years prior to November 2020 and even prior to the 66 Outside the Beltway construction.
@@w-josh What I meant was when driving slow Florida can sound like Indiana and New Jersey can sound like Maryland. If I had crossed this bridge faster, say at 60 mph, it would have sounded like true NJ / FL.
@@Mapmaker1559 I hope one of the Route 28 videos include redoing the 66 East to 28 North interchange maneuver. I’m ready for the final configuration of Route 28 Northbound between Interstate 66 and Westfields Blvd being similar to the merging situation on I-95 North between exit 84 and exit 89 not dropping any lanes from the heaviest interchange maneuver.

How would you describe the bridge at 1:08? Maybe Nevada and Delaware mixed. Or Indiana and Maryland.
I would say a perfect mix of New Jersey and Florida (taking into consideration that we're driving slower at that moment).

Not 100% sure. Possibly. I went through a few of those gantries when down there, but didn't pay close attention to the sound.
In lots of the toll gantries I looked at on Google maps they had Georgia grooving so most likely yes

Will you film the Route 28 Southbound traffic on the new bridge over Interstate 66?
At some point very soon (before the leaves fall) I want to try to film the Sully Road Freeway, so I'm definitely going to get the new bridge in that.
