    Very nice...black and white is always a good idea. Your new mix looks to work quite well, you have more control over it. BEAUTIFUL height. Oddly enough I think your first white blobs, even though more fluid and longer to dry, helped the stacks in their builds. The thicker medium, quite nice, kinda builds up that hump right away which depending on how many layers one goes....lol course then again size counts too... I really love this one... even more than the dandelion one.

    I think it is fantastic! My daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter just left from visiting me from Texas, they are driving back, a 5 day journey. I was able to show them many techniques I have learned from you, and the 4 of us had so much fun playing in paint. Thank you so much. It was priceless time. I love your blob paintings, and extra love this black and white one! I will do one for my son, also in Texas. 😔 . He will love it. Again, thank you. You were here in spirit in the Pacific Northwest in Washington State this week. 💕

    Hi Julie. Just sayin hey to let you know I have been here for the last 3 days binge watching your videos. I saw the one with the gold cells around the outer edges. Then saw several more like it that you have uploaded. I though it was so pretty that I wanted to do it too. So, First one turned out to be a big muddy mess of gold and black. On second try I decided to use white and silver. Another mess. So back to gold but I kept the white. OMG it turned out so awesome. Burgundy skull in the middle with White lightening going across it all, and perfect little golden nuggets all around the edges. I'm very satisfied. Maybe I can get some real rest tonight. My house is become over run with canvases everywhere. I need this virus crap to be over with. I can't go out to sell my paintings with things the way they are right now. Well, GoodNight , and thanks for the uploads. Your a life saver.

    I use the wooden pieces at the back of my canvas as it helps when tilting. I used to make my own canvases many years ago before you could buy them. The funny thing though, even though I do the same as most people on TH-cam, we’re not using them properly. They are meant to go at an angle. You have both long edges joining and hammer them in at an angle, you can separate them if need be to control the taut canvas. By doing that you’re able to stretch the joins by forcing the the gap out where they are joined. It does work well. Some canvases have this in the instructions. There is no extra strength using them as we do, but if you try using them as described your canvas will be extra taut and shouldn’t need the piddle pad under (depending on the size). Most people wouldn’t remember the days when you just couldn’t buy them and it took hours stretching the canvas on and using gesso - except, I think we used chalk with glue mixed in because you couldn’t buy gesso either. The canvas I could afford by the metre was cheap - more like strong calico - it sure took a lot of time and effort to buy the materials and mitre the ends, then nail it all in! Now we get the same thing for around $10.

      @sandrajohnson2489 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is one reason why I admire what the great masters went through in their time. They had to make everything by hand or have their apprentices do it if they could afford apprentices.
      Long ago when I learned how painters from centuries ago created paints I was amazed. It was dangerous of course especially when they created white paint using lead. It's been said that part of Vincent Van Gogh's mental illness was because he would lick the tips of his brushes AND, he drank the turpentine. This mixed with drinking Absinthe and his declining health in general would certainly create madness.
      I'm so happy that we can buy safe paints to use and canvases already made.
