Holy Cow! I knew you had some things you had to do when you get to town but I never realized there was so much to do...very enlightening to say the least..thanks for shedding light on your "down time"😄
Love Kara and Nate and their adventures! To save you a little bit on buying detergent, you could carry the laundry sheets (flat like dryer sheets) that work as both laundry detergent and dryer sheet. I know backpack weight is primo so may not be an option but i stick a few in our suitcase whenever we travel (in suitcase takes up NO space!) and it saves me from buying the overpriced laundry supplies at my destination.
Thankyou! This was real-life instruction for the novice (me) and sooooo helpful. Would love to see more detailed instructions from time to time, such as: How you set up your tent How you choose a tent site Evening chores at camp Morning routine before leaving camp How to hang food bag and where to choose to hang it.... Thankyou for sharing your hike with us. Love it!
I met two thru hikers today on my way to host at a camp for the weekend. I had a short opportunity to talk with them as we all were eating lunch. As I was getting ready to leave I offered to take any trash they wanted to get rid of. They said thank you, but because they had just left Harpers ferry they didn’t have much. I figured it was the least I could do.
I blame you!! I was driving home from a day hike and passed a Dunkin’ Donuts. I had an irresistible urge for a large iced coffee. Delicious. Thanks!!! LOL
A nero or zeroday is almost like being back in the rat-race, so much to do in so little time!!! Loving your daily vlogs. Downunda - Melbourne Australia (AT 2000- 2002)
Interesting how long your list was. What I imagine to be on it was much less than what you had but if I venture on a thru hike I will come back to this and take a snapshot. Excellent job, Taylor! Thank you so much! Forever onward!!👍🙌👏🥾❤
Most of the time I don't do everything on this list. I just tried to get as much done as possible since I had all day at the hotel. And to show everyone all the different little things I like to do
I loved this video. It might seem really boring to you, but to us non-thru hikers, this stuff is interesting! You get so much done on a day when I would be laying with my feet up! Hope you do another one of these.
Congratulations you are almost there keep it going I would like hike it but I have medical problem,s and I don't want to hike it bi myself stay safe and see you on the trail
This was very interesting and I really enjoyed it! Also I love lists and checking things as done ✅ 👍🏻🤩. The one surprise was seeing you eat ice cream 🍨 I figured after the 1/2 gallon challenge it would be a while! 😅. Great video! 🤗😊
Well done. I think your resupply was healthier than some of your early ones that freaked me out a bit. Check Check Check Check Chet Check Check Check Check. How cute that he still makes the list. You newlyweds.
Never will do a thru hike, but I still love watching your videos. I'm just a day hiker on parts of the AT around Maryland. Curious why you're drinking zero Gatorade. I thought you would want as many calories as you can get.
Looks like you did laundry in your sleep outfit. How much weight of clothes do you think you have, do you take spare anything like socks? Do you switch to a summer weight sleeping bag once temps get warmer? Learning lots! Vids seem about 7-10 days behind real time so you are getting close to,1500 miles now. Keep on hiking!
@@frolege1 🤣 You know George I love walking and I either jog or just walk every single day of the year for three or 4 miles and I really love the mountains & the woods up north, but that is just too far to hike!!!! 🤣⛰️🐻🏕️
Really liked this video, was very interesting , I am about 4 vlogs behind as was camping, what happened to your z packs tent ? What tent are you using now and why ?
That’s a lot! I would need a list too. How do you handle ziplocks and refills of camp soap? Do you carry new ziplocks or buy a box at every resupply? How long does the concentrated soap last?
I usually buy a small box of ziplocks every other resupply (I'll check any hiker boxes first) then I throw extras in my food bag for the next resupply. The camp soap has lasted the whole hike for me, I only use a drop or 2
@@deborahchadwick210 Thanks! Western NC are you kidding me? That is my favorite place in the whole world.! We go up there every year in late October, and rent a cabin in Bryson City.. Like it so much that we were just went up there the first week of May also..
Lee, we are in Maggie. I know you already know the good hikes near Bryson. As beautiful as the Smokies are in Fall, Spring is tied for my favorite season. I photo wild flowers, especially the orchids. That leads to lots of hiking. Wechike Deep Creek, near Bryson City, for an August bloomer.
Hi Taylor. I am setting myself up for a section hiking from Salisbury CT to Jug end Drive Egremont Mass found on all trails. Hoping you can give me thoughts of the hike, toughness, views, is there cell service and how to shuttle back to my car.
This stretch is beautiful and this corner of ct is so quiet and peaceful. The first part runs thru ( supposed) old growth and the pitch pines on bear mountain are amazing. Long time passed but at the bottom of bear was an incredible log cabin ( another atop nearby Alander)... Sages ravine...trail follows the steam down by many waterfalls. Not a thru hiker but from Rhode island , but I used to camp at riga lake, and this is my favorite place nearby.

That was a VERY GOOD AND INFORMATIVE video … thanks Taylor
Great video. I enjoy seeing all the things that have to happen in town, and the better food.
I’ve never met a person who pays for TH-cam premium. You are full of surprises! 🎉
No ads, downloading videos, and still watching even if you minimize it! So convenient lol. I use it more than my Netflix subscription

It is amazing how many videos you can do at one time, I'm sure it takes the pressure off to have so many in the queue.
Thanks for sharing what you do on town day. Its alot of stuff, but lists help organize and everything gets done
Thank you for fun and great information.
Hi Taylor! I love how the only weekly TV i enjoy is also Survivor but I also watch Kara and Nate on TH-cam 😂
