We are winter cruising through the San Juan Islands. In this episode, we take our liveaboard aluminum trawler into West Sound on Orcas Island and anchor in Massacre Bay. Blaine and I then go for a kayak and explore Skull Island. So much history! Of course we thought we would get an awesome sleep in a very safe anchorage but boy were we wrong! The ugly truth of winter cruising is winter storms and dragging anchor.
