The Russians also sent Katya Ryabova twice, in 2009 and 2011, casually the same year Lerika represented Moldova. If you add the Tomalchevy sisters first in JESC, then in ESC, that makes Russia the queen of recycling singers.

Here from Luke White's shooketh video.
    Then, some coincidences:
The Tolmachevy sisters were drawn 15th the night they won in JESC and in the ESC final.
OG3NE finished 11th in both JESC and ESC.
Anita Simoncini had the shortest gap of participation between JESC and ESC.

I feel so bad for the Tolmachevsky sisters because Russia at the time of their participation in ESC Russia had some bad relations with another country and so whenever they received any sort of points the audience booed them and that was the first time anyone has ever been booed at Eurovision. (I don’t remember what was going on with Russia at the time but it was something bad)
Edit: Russia was in war with Ukraine since they had annexed Crimea the year before

It was also because of the way Russia treats the LGBTQ+ community. I remember going to a protest in Copenhagen that year where we walked to the Russian embassy, and then later that year we hosted the contest, and with an audience full of gay people, they got booed! Felt sort of bad for the girls as they had nothing to do with the politics in their country😅 I also believe Russia has censored many “gay” moments in Eurovision throughout the years, but the EBU always fine them for that because it’s illegal to censor certain moments from the show.

By the way, 2014 was not the first year someone has been booed in Eurovision.
Just look up 2006, Icelandic and Lithuanian entries. The booing there is actually much louder than in 2014, however instead of political reasons it was something different. For Iceland it was the artist's troll acts that didn't go well with the audience, and for Lithuania it was the song.

NANIK went with actual participants, not backing vocalists. Otherwise this video would be 15 minutes long.
Also, if we included JESC hosts who've participated in ESC (e.g. Zlata Ognevich, Poli Genova, Zena etc.), it'd be 25 minutes long...
