Another Adverse Childhood Experience that I hope is not off Dr. Anda's RADAR screen is placement in foster care. If is lumped into the section of parental loss, it is inaccurately placed, and diminished in terms of its real significance IMHO

This is a superb video. The information here is the best, most useful and truthful information I've come across on the matter. Thank you.

Jebus Crisp, how come they did this Ace study in 1991 and I am ONLY LEARNING ABOUT it now... Finding out I have had CPTSD for my 55 years of life.. only recently. I wish I learnt everything I am learning now, when I was younger! wow a shame..! That Dr Valetti was a smart man!

I am roughly the same age and my reaction was the same. I came across it about two months ago. It makes perfect sense to me and has also helped me understand myself and my life path.

A Dr. in Internal medicine suddenly becomes an “expert in childhood trauma “??!!

Go figure...the body and it's systems are interconnected and work together. Western medicine acts as if the body is made up independently functioning modules that can be treated by subspecialists. Awesome for this doc to take a proverbial look at the big picture and effect a pivotal landmark study bringing light to many of us that lived in darkness
