Thank you making this video! It helps many of us out there with Gen 2 Armadas that love offloading but can't find much aftermarket support. Keep it up and awesome rig!
Great video dude! I'm in the group as well, and will be tackling this project soon as well. Why did you go with x 11.5 vs 12.5? Will they not fit without rubbing?
Sorry. Super late on this reply. I bought the wheels and tires used and that’s just the size that was on them. 12.50 should fit too. You’ll have to modify the running board and fender liner either way.
Great video! I will 100% not be using this lift after watching this. Not paying $1200 and have to drill into the frame and be dealing with holes not lining up. Plus this literally does nothing to help with actual off-roading except for ground clearance. I want clearance and some additional articulation. Coil over lift it is. Sucks that it will cost double. Lol. Thanks for the vid though man! That was super helpful!
Hey Wanna Be Patrol.... who provides such a lift kit? I am also interested. I cannot find anything stateside. I know those guys in Australia have a ton of support for their Y62 Patrols.
19:52 has me thinking about if you could add a second "trip beam" to the top of your door that would prevent the door from opening if you have a car up on the lift in the same space as the door tracks
That’s a good thought… I can put the garage door up with the truck on the lift, but definitely not this one. I actually unplugged the opener while it was on there because I was afraid someone would push the button.
Love that this guy has a whole lift in his garage but no tools to do things like press the ball joint into the upper arm, or a ball joint separator. Priorities, amirite?
Thanks for the good video. Trying to find info on those cars is hard. Can you tell more about the reliability of the car engine and how many miles? I am considering it as you can get more for your money in comparison to Sequoia and Tahoe. I am also wondering if it could fit 3 kids car seats on the second row. Thanks
Had this kit installed on my 2018. The leveling system deflates after sitting for a while with the engine off. Did you have this same issue? Or is there a way to keep the truck level when turned off?
Hey. Good to see lift kits on the Armadas. Question...... with this being a 3 inch lift, any issues correcting toe/camber during an alignment? I knew of someone that did a 2.5-3 inch lift and the adjusters were already maxed after their alignment. They were chewing up their tires. Wondering if you experienced any of that... Thanks in advance.
No issues with alignment. The rear geometry stays the same since the whole suspension assembly drops down and the front aligned just fine with upper control arms that come with the kit.
Hi, any updates on how this kit is performing? I had a look online at Calmini products and the lift you installed looked good. But checking reviews of the company and customer service has put me off a bit.....
Nice work. We also have a 2018 Platinum Reserve Armada. I think this is the first lift kit we have seen with it. If we decide to keep the Admada...This might be something to tackle. We are debating wheather we will keep it or buy another Sequoia(2021 or 2022) or LX 570 (2020 or 2021) Both my wife and I like the Sequoia(we have a 2008) better. We have had a few minor glitches with the Armada already, and the Nissan delaership we bought it from is worthless and left a bad taste that cannot be fixed.
Have you considered the lift kit we get here in Australia? It’s a lot easier to install, no drilling holes in your rails. Costs about $1800 Australian.
@@Swimmerpar doesn't it depend on the trim? Is this the same thing as the automatic leveling feature if you tow a trailer?? I'm learning.... Thanks in advance.
@@hakunamatata6464 The only trim without air shocks in the rear. Is the Sv package without towing package. If i remember correctly. Overseas their Patrol uses hydraulic suspension front and rear. Similar to a Lexus LX570 stateside. Look and your rear shocks. If you see rubber on the outside of the shock. You have rear air shocks, and the auto leveling in the rear for towing.
Not a dumb question. The fuel economy seems to be about the same. 12-13 mostly around town driving. Road noise is louder only because the tires were used when I bought them and definitely weren’t worn evenly. Hums pretty good. Lol. With nice new tires, I’m sure it’d be the same amount of road noise as stock. Just depends on the tires.
So you get the capability of a spacer lift, drill into your frame and have to do business with a company that has had tons of major issues with getting orders to customers? No thanks.
Really turned out great. I love seeing Kademan helping out!
I want to love and buy one of these sooo bad. BUT that rear bubble bumper absolutely kills it for me. The rest of this is 💯
Lol same
@@mayathompson727 I brought one a couple days ago. It’s a awesome suv for the $$$. 💯💯
Get a Raslarr front and rear bars from Australia 🇦🇺
❤
That’s exactly my problem as well.. everything about this truck is great but why on earth did they extended that back bumper to make it look like that

Looking forward to the update video on this! I've only had my 2020 Armada for a month and it's already the best vehicle I ever had.
The best vehicle that no one knows is great!! Looks good man, great job!
I just bought one myself! And also white! Would love to do this someday once warranty is gone!
Awesome informative video. Might consider this for mine. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Mitch! It rides just like factory. Best kit if you want to keep the nice ride in my opinion.
2 questions....
What tire selection is that?
What was the fish bowl look your mentioned?
Awesome truck!
Good video
May I suggest putting 2in wheels spacers. I have 3in on my QX56
Also a flowmaster 👏👏
Very nice. Thank you for the video.

Ok coilovers up front but what would you do for the rears?

That looks ridiculous!!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thanks man! Pretty good for not being a Ford. LOL
Great job. What size rims and tires? Backspacing on rims??
Good review & great Nissan.
looks nice, Still have HBMC? nissan Patrol have hydraulic body motion control as standard, do the lift kit affect it?
Great video, what size wheels/tires did you run with the calmini lift? Was there any rubbing? I’m looking to do the same to my 2020 SL
Hey, love the video, that's exactly what I want mine to look like. What size tires are you running
Thanks! They are 35x11.50r20
I'm surprised you actually got the lift delivered. Calmini is or was being sued for not delivering after receiving payment.
Looks awesome man!

Sweet lookin ride! Do you, or does anybody know how the lift impacts towing capability; or drivetrain alignment and such?
Sick Armada. Keep it up.
I've never installed a lift as small as a 3, basically leveled kit that was so complicated and time consuming... great video though
Nicee man,and you have a lift in your garage,I have an 18 SL and what size is those rims, that lift kit definitely gon make mine looked phat!

Thanks! It definitely changes the whole look of the rig!

Still love it. Rides so smooth. I would work with Calmini again in a heartbeat! Just talk to Steve. He’ll take care of you.
It looks so good!!!!!! Tire and rim specs too?
Looks amazing
As a Toyota guy who is use to lifts being mostly springs and shocks, this spacer lift looks super janky like will fold up under a mild bump.
What is your wheel and tire specs? Thanks
Any rubbing? I've never liked those wheel wells
Sweet. I just ordered this kit. What size tires are those?
Oh nice! You’ll love it

@M5verdriver Well things changed...we decided to order a 2024 LX600.
I’m looking for kit suspension buschs for qx80 2019?? Could you tell me where they find please??
Have you considered the lift kit we get here in Australia? It’s a lot easier to install, no drilling holes in your rails. Costs about $1800 Australian.
What’s the name of it? I’ll have to check it out.
Ontrack 4x4 Lift. You could install it from home like you did with the Calmini lift, takes about 4-6 hours.
Our U.S. version of the Patrol (Armada) does not have a HMBC hydraulic suspension. Ours is different isnt it?

Do you or do you know anyone who has the Calmini rock sliders? Keep up the videos not much info for these vehicles in the USA
I don’t. I was just looking at them on their website today though.
Ryan, in your opinion would 35s fit under a stock chassis?
Where is the measurement from floor to fender after?
Looks like the shock mount got crushed under the weight?
The kit could’ve at least came with extended rear brake lines
Excellent
What rims did you go with?
Whats MPGs looking like now??
I'm trying to get an 08 idk if I want a 2 or 3 in lift
Would this kit work on a 2004 armada? Suspension looks similar to me
What size tire and rims you got ?
You still have to stock wheels?
What size are those tires
Does that kit fits 2014 infiniti qx80?
Gramps is insulted after its injury , a true Shakespearian tragedy
I think you skipped the after measurements. We only got the before
What time level is that armada?
What are the wheel and tire specs????
Impressive
After uplift how about while speeding over 80 or 100 miles 🤔 is the car stable on road??
Oh yeah. Still very stable.
What size wheels
Is that a 2wd or 4x4?
4x4
I thought only patrol and people in the middle east and australia only could do that and armada couldnot nice watching
Tire size?
How long was the wait for the lift kit from calmini?
Don't bother. Read the reviews. They have never changed.
Best to take that rear caliper off. Bending lines is a risky move
Damn I paid less than $200 lifted truck 3inches with old junk, but I do Squeak😂
How do I find lift kit to buy
Why didn't you just undo the rear calipers
I certainly could have, but I needed more slack to accommodate the lift anyway, so I just bent the brake lines.
How much did you pay for it
I think you kids wearing safety approved shoes. LOL
You should do mine
Good video but, if its a pain with a lift and a press, I'll pass

Somethings wrong with that lift.
Man that was cringe watching your kid use the press.
Please tell me the wheel specs…..including offset. Thank you
What does this do to towing capacity ?
Wheel and tire specs?
Would this kit work on the QX56?
Yes. They have the same suspension, so it should work fine.
