My wife and I just came from seeing Derek Edwards. We’ve seen small bits of his act over the years, on ‘Just For Laughs’, but our first time seeing him in person. 90 minutes of howling laughter. I was literally crying at one point, I was laughing so hard. My wife’s stomach is sore. Can’t recommend him highly enough. The man is side splittingly funny.
I am from Timmins and had the opportunity to meet Derek when he appeared locally. He is funny and down to earth. I am proud to be a Canadian from Timmins. Shania Twain is also from here. If they can make it from here, anyone can make from anywhere.
I get ratted on a lot, and every time someone rats on me, I ask myself why he can't come and say that to my face? I'll put him on a stretcher, that will be the end of that, then I remind myself that sometimes people insult me to my face... as long as he has about 7 guys with him. For this reason, I have come to the conclusion that nothing makes you tougher and braver than insulting people, therefore guys who insult people while hiding behind a computer screen most be insanely tough and brave.
The reason I gave that response is because I've spent most of my life in English Canada and I'd like for one of you to try to say to my face the things you say while hiding behind a computer screen, and I'd like you to say it one on one without having a gun or a knife in your pocket, but I also know that's never gonna happen because of how brave not being French makes you.
