Very nice!! Just did all the same to my bike, except the ceramic packing. Does your bike backfire one hard time on decel when riding? That’s the only thing driving me nuts at the moment.
Thanks. I do get a little popping, but not a backfire on decel. Did you plug off your AIS system? That's the only thing I could think of....unless you have a bit of an exhaust leak. Best of luck. I love this bike!
Mike Kemp yep, I plugged the AIS. I was thinking an exhaust leak as well. The only exhaust gaskets were on the rear cylinder down pipes, right? I’m thinking there might not be enough packing in the muffler as well causing air to get caught in there somehow 🤔
DeathWi$h you are correct. I used a little hi temp copper permatex silicone just to be safe and hold things in place for assembly. What do you think of the VooDoo exhaust in general? I really like it. I wear a full face Shoei RF1200, so noise isn't really annoying for me.
Mike Kemp I’m just going to take it all back apart and use some exhaust seal tape at all the connections except the rear cylinder down pipes. I love the Voodoo’s...the looks, the sound, everything except that one big backfire which hopefully I can get straightened out.
DeathWi$h best of luck. I hope you get to the bottom of it. Tim Nash would be a good person to ask if you run out of ideas. Obviously he KNOWS the VMAX.
I can’t wait to put my voodoos on. I want a set of your halos too!
