I don't believe it's nonchalant to not show a reaction to something I think it's nonchalant to not care and tell them it doesn't matter, for example as she said if so and so are together and she breaks up with him why should he show a reaction and have a breakdown or go back and forth on a decision you've already made set in stone. Lets say he does do that...Women usually breakup or emotionally detach themselves from said man before she actually says it vocally so if he does try to fight for it and y'all get back together it'll only make the relationship worse and more toxic and he'll simply be the only one fighting for it do whatever he can to make sure they stay good, and she'll possibly already be looking for something else while she's entertaining the dead relationship barely being as into as she was before, or now she'll start getting mad at the littler( I know it's not a word) thing. The thing is it's a very common thing for women to say things just cause they want a reaction from their man whether that reaction is to get them mad or get them hyped it's all to satisfy their deep down want and more often then not that is a very toxic personality trait. But that's my take on that.
