Thanks a million for doing these videos! Love seeing these old titles, especially since many of them I remember seeing on store shelves as kid but never got to play. Not much on YT of them due to the challenge of recording, I imagine
This game was awesome. I remember i bought a fantastic Quickshot analogue joystick just for this, it was a grey thing shaped like the front of a Corellian Corvette from Star Wars and had axis trims! Great memories 🤔🇬🇧
It's usually the case - you can easilly ramp up the FPS in DOSBox by increasing cycles, but sometimes it can have ill effects on other things in few games that game speed locked to physics for instance.
That Gravis Ultrasound is crystal clear and amazing. I can hear why its such a coveted card. I rarely emulate with it, but its fun when i do. And CYAC is a lot of fun! Does this build on the same engine that SU-25 Sturmovik used? I have a boxed copy of that game, with remarkable similarities to CYAC in handling and aesthetic.
Yeah, it's basically the LHX Attack Chopper engine, later used in Su-25 and finally in CYAC. Later it was highly reworked and used in USNF and its expansions.
Dang man we are going way back. I remember the demo computers at an aafes had this on it and I hung out there the entire time my dad went shopping.

loved flying the wings off the Blackbird in this game. so much fun.
I think your're mixing this with Chuck Yeager's Advanced Flight Trainer 2.0?
That seemed smoother than I remembered it
