I was so glad to see you using the screw guide we sent you on your impact driver. Makes one handed use so much easier. Another great video.
Hot sweaty work 🥵 arms above your head , shoulders aching and sore neck. All that on a ladder Joel job WELL DONE 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏 Always great to see Petey❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Love from the UK
I like the date posted at the start of the episode.
Great video. Can not wait to see what is next. See you in the next one.
Question of the day: In Pa are permits required to do any kind of structure/ electrical improvements? Or does that not apply because you are farm/stable ?
When you put outside light also running line from casino to jack should be another 20 amps line, just like you did these and other switch and to the box. Never have enough circuits for fire.
You really are multiskilled and clearly that is the only way to be working on farms and stables. Hats off to you!.
Very much a fan of multi day videos!
He Joel, I had my husband who is a commercial electrician take a look at your video...no more than 16 things per run(switches, light, fans) per 12gauge wire, 22 things per 10gauge wire....you need a couple more runs. also a 20amp breaker per run for 12g, 30amp per run for 10g wire...no fires please!
Great video Joel... were you self taught on everything you do at the stable?? You are very intelligent and knowledgeable about most things!!!!!❤️🙏🇺🇲
Wow hard work I'm more interested in what is for lunch .your wife gives me lots ov idea's for my children .😊
Joel , you are a man of many talents.
Pete is rocking the face hair. Gonna call him Cat weazle lol. I steer clear of electrical stuff since I nearly died from an electric shock had to be reanimated. My brother is a master electrician which helps a lot on our farm
OMG Joel...is that fur on Petey's sweet face? You and Gavin are a bigger influence that we thought. It is so nice for him to stop by and help.
❤
tell peter,
shrek is love, shrek is life.
😆
Hello Joel, been wearing my beard year round for the last 44 years won’t think about cutting it off now. I’m here in SWMO it gets plenty hot in the summer.
It was good to see Pete. Loving the improvements. Blessings !!!
Hey Pete, can’t wait until we see your new, old tractor! Do you have a TH-cam channel? Cheers!😊
Great facial hair Pete
What a great job. Thank you. ❤❤❤
Had a beard/goatee since I was 20 back in 1993. The only time it ever bothers me is when I razor it to the skin(neck, sideburns, cheeks, etc), then let it grow longer. It makes the hairs sharper and more pokie as they get longer. If instead I use a hair/beard trimmer and just buzz it close to the skin, it never bothers me usually.
Can’t wait to see Petey’s “new” tractor !!
Hi Joel. I live in australia and we are not allow to do our electrical work in our homes electricians have too.
After this project do you guys need to get a code inspector to give it to good to go seal of approval with the electrical work done?????
Great updates on the stable.
Hello Joel, gotta say I like me a good conversationalist and coco is doing mighty fine in that department he's not shy about speaking his mind haha 😁🇨🇦
I’m sure lots of folks pointed it out, but you had 14 gauge wire before. 10 gauge is bigger than 12, the lower the number, the bigger the wire. For a 20-amp circuit that long, you could have run 10-gauge to have even less line loss. But the 12 is better than the 14 you had.
I didn’t know horses have a pecking order!!!! Is it vicious like the feathered Dinos ( chickens)
With all the concerns in the comments, i thought I'd ask ... do you have any sort of electrical training via schooling or journeyman skills for doing the power job's or is there a family member with the knowledge that you run stuff, like upgrade by &/or that checks afterwards to make sure you did it right?
I'm just curious as I've help run conduit & wire b4, but I'm not confident or knowledgeable enough to do it & trust that it'll pass. I figured on the projects I've been apart of, I'd let my dad or hubby get zapped, my hearts been zapped enough by hot wire, don't need 110 working its magic. Great job with all the grades you guys are doing. 😊
🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️
Great video Joel 👍👍
The beard looks good, Joel! Great improvement with the power and lights!
Atleast you can do your electrical work Joel, we cant we have to use qualified Electrians which can be costly. I just had 2 Fluro lights replaced with LED ones and it cost me $375 and that only was taking down the old ones and using the same wiring to fit the new about 30 minutes work. You can do it but you wont bve covered by your insurance if something goes wrong.
Joel 10 gauge is rated for 240 volts. It usually takes a 30 amp breaker. 12 gauge is for outlets and switches ( 120 volts ). You shouldnt run romex through conduit. the heat buildup. It needs to be stranded wire and doesnt take up more then 40% of the conduit space. Not sure how big your main panel is but you need more breakers to run the lights and outlets/ receptacles. Even with LED you might have too many on a single run. I dont mean to critize just dont want you to have a fire
ALL of your Info is Extremely Important to Follow or Else. Electricity is Not Forgiving if you get it Wrong. I Hope to GOD Joel is 100% Clear about ALL this. 👍
Joel needs to run the plan with an electrician for clarification and safety.
@@dillangeiser4820 The real problem is that since this is a commercial building, it requires a licensed electrician. This isn't like a homeowner wiring their own house. It's not illegal to run Romex through conduit. It's just not normal practice. I wouldn't be showing anymore DIY wiring videos. Your insurance company will refuse to pay, and if your local fire Marshall sees these videos, he could shut down your entire stable.
Doesn't Amazon delivery? We get next day delivery for most things.
Pete needs his own channel. His old tractors He's me waving to Pete.
Have you studied electrical installation?
Coco sure has have her opinion !!! 😂😂😂
Hey Joel. Sorry.but 10 guage is larger than 12 guage.
Yes my English was not working on these videos 😅 smaller the number bigger the wire
@@A_Stable_Life Gauge or "AWG" size number originally represented the number of times the wire was drawn through the dies. The more times it was drawn, e.g. 12, means the wire was drawn 12 times. Each time it was drawn, the thinner the wire got.
Pete needs to watch shrek again. Shrek 1 and 2 are the best ones
What hores favorite hay
Could you provide the brand of the new lights and the lumen. thanks, and keep up your content. Great stuff.
Wooo. I got the 1k like on the video. 😆
What are all the photos on the wall of?
I have worn a beard since 1970, summer and winter, and it is not uncomfortable in hot weather. Wouldn't be without it.
Is Scoots part Shar Pei? I'm sure you have probably answered this before just curious
How did you learn to do wiring?
10Ga is larger than 12. So if going from 10 to 12, you will increase your resistance, not lower it. Did you mean to say the original wire was 14? Which should have only been on a 15A ckt.
Yes, I didn't catch my mess up in edit. But all of you guys are absolutely awesome. I know if Im ever stumped I have the best viewers for help figuring things out 😁
What is that thicking sound in the barn? Drove me crazy
@@daveklein2826 I wish i had one, I'd turn it down talking to kids. xD
Joel - thanks for taking us on your rewiring the stable project. How did you learn all of this electrical management? This is a huge project. I always learn from your videos and appreciate you posting!
Do some winter logging, paint the ends hire a mobil mill subscriber. Build additional with home grown lumber. There is a firewood opotunity for Pete to build the saw log piles. Dead trees blowdowns. Creat more silvor pasture areas and paddocts to let pastures rest, move parasite loads. Your pastures will double. in growth.

Does Petey have his own TH-cam channel?
Soup strainers
How do you know so much about electrical? Love sweet little Petey!
You might want to talk your insurance company about all this.
I don’t know, anything with electrical should be done by a licensed electrician. (Just my opinion.)
Joel...to spiff up the barn, can you properly close the ceilings of the stall tack boxes??? That would really look more professional 😊 luv ya
pete needs a shave !
lol don't think she like you touching her sandwich so much maybe not want to do that one again even if she loves you her face didn't look to enthusiast that your hands were all in what she was about to eat for lunch!
When did you become an electrician? It is an odd thing to see in a farmer.
Farmers have to be a “jack of all trades” person. Farmers need to take care of problems as they arrive, not waiting 3-4 weeks for a professional to come fix…let alone the $’s charged.
You have a lot of skills for a young man. That was a huge project and I’m sure you’re glad to have accomplished it.
