Hi, I'm late to view your gorgeous couch. Could you revisit and give us an approx cost to do exactly what you've done? I would so appreciate. Also want our the mason jars for on the supplies list. Thanks! ❤
@@BODYLOGICA Thank you so much! My total build price was $1,787.94! Majority of the budget went to the fabric I splurged on & foam. I have a full breakdown here by line item to give you a better idea of what your project budget might be based on the tools you already have! th-cam.com/video/0SBRKNlMkJI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cuA5DnUglsg8PWSi&t=372 (starting at 6:12) happy creating!
I know I don't know you either but this means so much to me 🥺💖 thank you so much!! And believe me there was ALOT of trial and error & there's lots of footage I left on the cutting room floor 😂 Comments like yours really encourage me to keep creating so thank you! 💗
Riiiiight?!!! I was virtually hugging you and clapping and dancing!!! I am as proud of you as if you were my own baby girl!!!! Now I’m bragging about you to my friends and sharing your video with them!!! I’m beaming!!! 💜💜💜
Thank you so much, Rogan!!! This means so much! Great question! I ended up spending $1,900 total! Mainly because I wanted to invest in a high performance fabric ($665 of the budget!) Foam is also super expensive ($554). If you can buy your foam in bulk it's worth the wait! The other big expense was buying all the tools/renting tools & trucks to haul everything in 🤣($279) It was a big time/$ investment for me, but still way less than buying one for $18,000!! 😄
I just “met” you through this virtual medium after determining that if “I” thought to dupe a Mario Bellini modular sofa then some other brave soul must have thought to do the same, thus finding you through the search engine. And please, just let me say, “I am SOOOO PROUD OF YOU”!!! What an amazing labor of love!!! Your couch looks amazing!!! I subscribed and am here to watch your channel grow and your projects bring you much joy!!!! 💜💜💜💜
Claire this means so much to me thank you!!!!! 🥺💖 It truly was a labor of love!!! I'm so happy the search engine connected us!! Thank you so much for subscribing and for all of your encouragement! I have so many more projects I can't wait to share! 🤗
What was the size of the paracord you bought, and does it matter what kind you get? Do you have a complete directions guide on how to build this? Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for watching, Ruth! Yes, you definitely want a thinner paracord so you can thread it through your grommet holes. I will reply with the exact size I bought when I get back home. I don't have a written guide at the moment, just this 3 part yt series, but I can definitely create one if that would be helpful! So excited to hear someone else wants to build this!! 🤩
This is the brand of paracord I used. I got mine from Michaels (I could only find this Walmart link) Any paracord relatively slim will work! Happy creating! 🤩www.walmart.com/ip/5PK-Pepperell-325-Parachute-Cord-Black-21-ft-1/138164202?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=1772
Can I just say I am so excited that you popped up in my feed I am about to reupholster a couch that I got for super cheap that originally retailed for a lot of money but…. It had that nasty fake leather on it so the bones are good the fabric is not…. super happy I found this because this will definitely definitely help me along as I reupholster this couch thank you for this video✌️💜😊
Ahhh I'm so happy to hear this!! I'm so happy to help and I know your project will turn out to be amazing! I definitely want to try that next because building your own framing is no joke! 🤣
Thank you so much!!! 🤩I just looked back through all my footage and it took me 36 days over the course of 10 months 🤣 So much of that time was spent overthinking and worrying I would mess up 😅I also moved and did a lot of the other diy projects you'll see on my channel during that time!!
Thank you so much!!! I originally bought 20 yards, but since it was my first time making anything like this I definitely over shot it a bit and wasted a lot of fabric 😂 I had to buy 4 extra yards later, but I definitely think its possible to make all the pieces with 20!
I spent about $1700 (almost half of that was on fabric because I wanted high performance velvet!) and I had to buy all the tools since I'd never made anything like this before! If you can, I would borrow as many tools as possible (I borrowed my uncle's mitre saw) it took me almost 10 months to complete but I wasn't working on it consistently and procrastinated a ton 😅 definitely could have finished way faster if I wasn't so nervous to mess up!
