This right here... this is Country... ummm yes! Carrie Underwood couldnt touch this lady with a ladder! Smoothest raspy, sitting in the dark with a glass of wine just drifting around the room on her voice! RIP K.T.❤
Neither did Holly Dunn or Lari White. I loved both of them so much. Holly was basically Blacklisted by Nashville and Country Radio after 1991. I really don't know what happened with KT. Lari should have been one of the biggest Stars of the 90's. All three so immensely talented. Three amazing voices and song writers.
I heard this song today while having my radiation treatment. It took me back. Thought of this video. KT Oslin... What more songs to be sung.... Thank you great lady.. Of any year..❤
I just found out this weekend. I love her music especially this song and hold me. Why did she pass (Parkinson and then tested positive for COVID-19 according to one video) I love her music (mid 40s male ) but just found out this weekend that she passed)
Yes! I feel the same sentiment as everyone else here! I was a young boy ( this is my girlfriend's account 😆) ahem!! .. anyway I was a young boy in the 80s and the songs of K T Oslin, Alabama, Ronnie Millsap, John Anderson, The Judds and you know...all the GOOD country were always on my mom and dad's radio and on CMT. Now I get sentimental when I hear these songs. Sometimes a song I haven't heard in years will creep into my mind and I'll have to look it up
She has such a sincere, smooth and clear voice. Her singing is never forced or pretentious. This is when country radio played one great song after another. Today you hear 15 pop rap country before you hear one decent country song.
You got that right. I miss her voice on the radio. Country music has went so downhill these days that I don't even listen to so called country music on the radio no more. It's good that I can look up which songs I want to listen to. Couldn't do that back then. RIP KT Oslin. You are truly missed by a lot of people.

Triple Grammy-winner K.T. Oslin, a member of the Nashville and Texas Heritage Songwriters Hall of Fame, has died at the age of 78. K. T. Oslin May 15, 1942 - December 21, 2020 RIP
My dad just passed away and he was a truck driver and when I was a kid he said this was our song....😥😥😥❤❤❤❤👏👏👏🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I love you daddy and I miss you more than words can explain
It’s October 2022 and I found out TODAY! 😪 Ever fall in love with a celebrity? I mean for real in terms of a genuine spiritual connect. This was an incredibly lovely human being. Vulnerable, insecure and not terribly comfortable with her enormous and seductive talent. 🥲 All the way to her stage name, K.T. Oslin was so much more than a ‘country’ singer. 💖 R.I.P. indeed.
Ms. Oslins music is timeless. It sounds as fresh & relevant today as it did the day it was released. She has one of the great, distinctive voices & she wrote beautiful, relatable songs. Thank heaven for her wonderful music & wherever she is, I thank her for nurturing her talent & bringing it to all of us!
I don't know many songs that she didn't do right'80s ladies knocks me off my feet it brings my girls back one was pretty one was smart and one may still be a borderline fool I'm not sure which of us is which cuz of any given time we could swap but you were gone now and that just leaves me but I'll always come back to me songs and then they'll always come back to me
My mother was going through a divorce during the height of KT's success in the 80's. She loved KT Oslin. I adored my mother, she was sassy and beautiful. She was also a borderline fool (a fact that my dad did not appreciate). Anyhoo, I would watch her do her makeup and get ready for another date (they were all lawyers-my dad was one- think she wanted to make him jealous. She was a girl of the 50's and wanted the fairytale. She got her college degree- Go Dawgs!! She married an attorney who could provide financially, they had 3 kids, joined the Junior League, even had a maid. She felt she had everything she ever wanted. Then boom. Dad left her first his paralegal. Dad and his second wife are still married to this day. Point of all of this is KT was really in tune with how ladies of a certain age were feeling. She sang for them and I am grateful for it. She helped my mother make it through the most difficult period in her life. And helped her become a lady whom was okay with not being in a relationship. She never remarried (she always told me that she married for life😢). Hearing these songs reminds me of that time period. I was coming of age so I had the same ideals as my mom. Kt's songs were an inspiration for both of us...my mom to get through her divorce without losing her grace. And, KT seemed put together in her videos. I always wanted to be a Sugarbaker sister..lolol...a perfect Southern Belle. Thanks for listening, mama died at 56. Life was too hard for her. She never got past her family dissolution. But, during those times, the house was filled with KT's voice and common sense lyrics. RIP to my two 80's ladies!
