I love Australian saddles too! Or a nice western saddle with bucking rolls fitted on to help hold you in better. That's an idea for you too! Just get some bucking rolls added to your western for a more secure feel for you Laura. I have nerve damage in my left leg , from breaking my lower back, in a horse accident 20 years ago. I still ride today for pleasure. Trail riding is the BEST!!!! The bucking rolls help to stabilize my thigh giving me a feeling of security. But, I do Love my Aussie best! Have fun be safe and enjoy the ride.

I'm so happy that you can use your helmet cam because now you can have full control, not just one rein or whatever... I am really looking forward to watch further, I have a riding lesson today and I'm hoping i ride my favorite horse, intact I'll be quarter leasing him in December and onwards, he's a 15.3hh hackney x boerperd gelding, he's a chestnut and he has 2 colonal markings, and 2 socks!
That looked like a lot of fun! I love gaited horses and jumping! When jumping it's way easier if you just let the horse naturally bring you up into two point. I know that's a little easier said than done, but it really works. Laura, your commentary was hilarious!😂 If I had this much fun watching, you guys must have had a blast!

Hi Laura. I saw your other video where you showed a bit you want to try with Miss Penny. I thought I should mention to you about a bit my heart horse just LOVED. It is called a Mikmar training bit. It looks intimidating, actually like some contraption one may pull out of a garbage can, but it is actually very effective in getting response without harshness. My theory is because the mechanism works on four areas, the nose being the first point of contact and the mouth piece of the bit itself is very comfortable in the horse's mouth. Check it out...just google Mikmar training bit and you might find some videos here on youtube even. It is kind of expensive but sometimes you can find them used and if you do buy one and don't like it I promise you won't have any trouble re-selling it. LOL I don't work for them, either...it is just one of those products that really impressed me and made my horse happy!

Just lean forward for beginners. Then you have to sit up and follow the horse as you get use to the motion of a horse jumping
