- In this video, we'll do a walk around of the 1982 K5 Blazer that was part of our BOGO deal. Do we get buyer's remorse? Is it a diamond in the rough? Watch to find out!

The 1974 K5 was the best one in my opinion.
Full convertable top…’73-‘75….
But yeah u cannot go wrong with a ‘74…….i have a ‘73 c10 shortbed fleetside that has a vortech centrifugal supercharged LS swap in it and a ‘74 nova that has a LSA supercharged LS in it as well, both are a blast to drive!!!! Id love to get one of the 6.2 diesel blazers/suburbans and do a LS swap on it as well, that is if i cannot get my hands on the more diserable 73-75
I cant disagree with the full tops being pretty cool
@ I would have to agree with you on the LS motors. they are great for swaps! Definitely better than a 6.2
Nice job
thanks! i appreciate the comment! they all help the channel
Thats definitely a diamond in the rough, the fact that it only has that tiny dent behind the back tire is wild!!!
The property we bought it from was loaded with cool old vehicles.
@@myles2go. yeah sometimes people like to hoard and stash cool shit!!
Love your hat
thanks!
i would say a diamond in the rough, better then last few I got.
A NV4500 would be a better manual transmission in my opinion if that’s going to be a daily driver as those SM465 always seemed to be way low geared for the way I used on.
i agree, especially with a 6.2 diesel. I did a nv4500 swap in my other K5 and love it. the videos are posted on the channel if you want to check them out!
Had an ‘81 k10 suburban 25 years ago…it was a tailgate burb with the 350/th350 combo and that thing was un-killable….literally , till sum piece of crap stole it!!!
that's a shame! these old trucks are so easy to steal, unfortunately.
Those are very rare Brother in that condition running alone run for good money believe me you will not find another one for sale anywhere
I agree. I was able to get two good running and driving diesel K5's from the same guy. The other one i got from him was the white one that i painted blue on my channel
There was nothing good about a 6.2 lol unless you don't have a 6.5 to use as a boat anchor.
lol, they certainly have some serious design flaws.
