Definitely agree with your message here. Just for the people, who really studied ICT, knows that he always said that everybody has to find the trading style that fits to them personally as to position, swing, intraday trading etc. and that most people will have it easier in the beginning sticking to the daily and 4h charts.

A swing trader for slightly more than a decade. Recently when I got unemployed, I went back to day trading. My P/L became neutral and it was tiring. So yeah, back to swing trading it is. Less tiring, less trades and more RR. Cheers to all swingers! 🥂

As a scalper using ict concepts i really enjoy your videos😂. His concepts work for me but anyone can have his own opinion. I would like to point out that scalping doesnt mean high frequency trading. I only scalp 1h per day ( only on high probability days) and 2 trades max.. keep up the good work

I used to do intraday not necessarily scalping but me and my dad trade and I am the person who is patient and likes to hold trade for longer even if I take some heat. When you are swing trading (which I am now) you start getting used to being negative for a while just respecting the companies rules and of course the strategy. sometimes I over leverage and It can go against me or I enter too early for the winning trade. Anyways I finally passed an 100k ftmo challenge and about to get paid out next week. I dont even have to place another trade. Thank you for making this videos and repeating in my face that I did the right choice!

Prop Firm trader here. One thing about swing trading is that you must embrace being comfortable with being uncomfortable, as you sit through drawdown. Thank you for helping me align myself with something that matches my personality , I believed the hype of scalping until you enlightened me. Now my results are much more consistent.
But you have to have your SL in place anyway. It is the same concept as with any trading style...Thanks for sharing your experience. Happy you changed your believe system and I created better results for you!

You need to trade against the retail sentiment and preferably with a strong opposite trend for institutional money. You also need to do some type of seasonality forecast and correlation of underlying assets. Also interest rates etc. The more things align the higher your win rate and overall profitability is from my experience. To your point, I am aware of a strategy that is solely based on technical analysis and simple indicators like the ADR and it does work quite well but with lower win rates and overall profitability. So back to my point, even if you like to take higher risks with position stacking or hedging, you simply cannot have as big an edge in the markets without using fundamentals and that includes the forex market.

I really love the honesty and I am your fan Bernd. But for me it was different I swing trade and I found my edge and consistency in scalping . I am scalping futures but I think that Everybody is different and for some people and some personalities scalping is good choice. I´can agree for 100% that swing trading is better option for most people.Thank you for your content.

This is such weird timing. I’ve stopped scalping and it wasn’t an intentional decision! I just wake up and my mom rushes me to get ready for work so I don’t have time to sit the entire New York session looking at these charts. I’ve been taking my entries on higher time frames and I’m realizing all I have to do is just check up on my trade throughout the day and boom! My strategy works the same on the bigger timeframes! Thank you for validating my decision to switch things up

Hey Bernd, nice video, I made a similar video to this a year ago but nowhere near this quality but what I found is that people won't listen to this advice and they will still go back to where the action is foolishly. It is also one of my least viewed videos. However I truly believe it is the only way to make consistent profits, HTF trading with small positions is key. But let them live and learn.

I know people will not listen…at least most of it…in trading people only listen when they feel the pain…losing money…many of them will fail miserably before they learn. And it’s ok, the choice is theirs. I am just a vocal trader that has a strong opinion of things backed by MY RESULTS.
@@berndskorupinski yes, you are truly showing the fruits of your labour. The market is like Pac-Man on the lower time frames, with the all the whipsawing eating stops and fuelling the urge to overtrade, a very dangerous place to be. It’s better to trade almost like an investor so to speak and only look at opportunities where the market is certain to turn in your direction, however still using calculated position sizing. Lastly, what I will say is, people want to strategise only in the technicals and think the answers is laying there, they would never think of being more strategic with their leverage and position sizing, investors do this well.

Ich habe vieles ausprobiert Option Trading, Bitcoin und und und. Bin mehrmals auf die Fresse geflogen😂 aber nur so lernt man. I scalp in and out of a position in relation to a swing. I'm kind of afraid to say exactly what I do because I'm afraid of money crowding in the spots where I tend to enter and exit. Scalping in and of itself isn't profitable, that I agree on. It actually can be expensive under certain conditions. But scalping in and out of a position, in relation to a multi week or month hold, can provide superior returns with little risk. Why risk a 50% drawdown when all hell breaks loose on the S&P 500, when you can risk 10% of your account and make 20 to 50% a year?

hey Bernd, ur absolutely right about swing over scalping, but I do believe you need to start out and get chopped out in the lower timeframes to learn how to execute and solidify ur psychology, and when it comes to ICT, I have seen the video by Iman but I completely stand by his concepts and I use his concepts solely to swing trade and achieve massive Rs by taking maximum 4 trades a month!
Hi use 9 ema and 15 ema only try this in volatility markey - When price is in doentrend let price touch the uper ema then take sell And do opposite for buy make sure they make 30 ' angle. Ema. - Try backtesting if it will work apply been using for liquidity market❤
For me I have tried and I know 1 min 5 min price action is mostly rubbish on its own. Only higher time frames rules. Either from a swing or day trade in order to profit is still looking at the higher time frames. Less stress less effort to keep looking at the charts is great.
two other issues are that market manipulations hit scalpers way more often than it does hit swing traders. prices can be easily manipulated for 5 minutes but it requires more effort to do it over weeks. slippage can also affect scalpers way more, pushing the stop farther than originally intended (basically you have extra risk on every SL you set) scalpers also have a talent to position themselves against larger timeframes participants.
If you dont have an edge Than no matter what kind of trader you are since you can blow Swing just slower Than Scalp trading. In my opinion if you have a right edge and emotion control than scalping is the best way to grow smaller accounts which are under amount of xxmillion $ and for learning curve also scalping is better way to practice But appreciate your style Bernd since you are proven successful trader I really enjoy to watch your contents.Hope you the best forward 💫
Mathematically you're extremely unlikely to scalp your way to millions of dollars. Its much harder to have an edge scalping forex because of the spreads and more trades does not equal more money.

How do you operate SWING in funding accounts? Since these companies, including FTMO, have a system in which when the day ends they calculate 5% of the balance with their profit, this means: If you start with 100 thousand you have 5000 to be able to, that is, if you reach 95 thousand you burn the test, after that if the day closes at 105 thousand without closing the trade, and your trade the next day drops to 100 thousand will you automatically burn the account? Lower % efficiency causes overtrading in the long term and swing trading has low % efficiency, What is the difference whether you take a trade with one lot and catch 100 pips your stop loss has 30 pips or in scalping tp 16 pips and stop loss 8 pips taking 5 lots will ultimately come out to the same amount , and the trade lasts a few minutes instead of hours or a whole day

I used to do intraday not necessarily scalping but me and my dad trade and I am the person who is patient and likes to hold trade for longer even if I take some heat. When you are swing trading (which I am now) you start getting used to being negative for a while just respecting the companies rules and of course the strategy. sometimes I over leverage and It can go against me or I enter too early for the winning trade. Anyways I finally passed an 100k ftmo challenge and about to get paid out next week. I dont even have to place another trade.

Prop Firm trader here. One thing about swing trading is that you must embrace being comfortable with being uncomfortable, as you sit through drawdown. Thank you for helping me align myself with something that matches my personality , I believed the hype of scalping until you enlightened me. Now my results are much more consistent.
But you have to have your SL in place anyway. It is the same concept as with any trading style...Thanks for sharing your experience. Happy you changed your believe system and I created better results for you!

You dont need fundementals on currencies ( as retail trader ) to be consistently profitable… On stocks its much easier so there its ok to use both

You also need to do some type of seasonality forecast and correlation of underlying assets. Also interest rates etc. The more things align the higher your win rate and overall profitability is from my experience.
To your point, I am aware of a strategy that is solely based on technical analysis and simple indicators like the ADR and it does work quite well but with lower win rates and overall profitability. So back to my point, even if you like to take higher risks with position stacking or hedging, you simply cannot have as big an edge in the markets without using fundamentals and that includes the forex market.

I really love the honesty and I am your fan Bernd. But for me it was different I swing trade and I found my edge and consistency in scalping . I am scalping futures but I think that Everybody is different and for some people and some personalities scalping is good choice. I´can agree for 100% that swing trading is better option for most people.Thank you for your content.

I fully fully agree with you. However we have to differentiate between scalping / day trading / swing trading. I specifically talk about 1-5min scalping.
Day trading is not scalping
There are some pairs that good for swing, and some are good for day trading, you just have to study.

This is such weird timing. I’ve stopped scalping and it wasn’t an intentional decision! I just wake up and my mom rushes me to get ready for work so I don’t have time to sit the entire New York session looking at these charts. I’ve been taking my entries on higher time frames and I’m realizing all I have to do is just check up on my trade throughout the day and boom! My strategy works the same on the bigger timeframes! Thank you for validating my decision to switch things up

Hey Bernd, nice video, I made a similar video to this a year ago but nowhere near this quality but what I found is that people won't listen to this advice and they will still go back to where the action is foolishly. It is also one of my least viewed videos. However I truly believe it is the only way to make consistent profits, HTF trading with small positions is key. But let them live and learn.

I know people will not listen…at least most of it…in trading people only listen when they feel the pain…losing money…many of them will fail miserably before they learn. @@berndskorupinski yes, you are truly showing the fruits of your labour. The market is like Pac-Man on the lower time frames, with the all the whipsawing eating stops and fuelling the urge to overtrade, a very dangerous place to be. It’s better to trade almost like an investor so to speak and only look at opportunities where the market is certain to turn in your direction, however still using calculated position sizing. Lastly, what I will say is, people want to strategise only in the technicals and think the answers is laying there, they would never think of being more strategic with their leverage and position sizing, investors do this well.

I trade more than 200 times last 5 month just for my acc to be breached. After watching this video, I figured out that I'm doing all the "Don'ts". I scalp in and out of a position in relation to a swing. I'm kind of afraid to say exactly what I do because I'm afraid of money crowding in the spots where I tend to enter and exit. Scalping in and of itself isn't profitable, that I agree on. It actually can be expensive under certain conditions. But scalping in and out of a position, in relation to a multi week or month hold, can provide superior returns with little risk. Why risk a 50% drawdown when all hell breaks loose on the S&P 500, when you can risk 10% of your account and make 20 to 50% a year?

hey Bernd, ur absolutely right about swing over scalping, but I do believe you need to start out and get chopped out in the lower timeframes to learn how to execute and solidify ur psychology, and when it comes to ICT, I have seen the video by Iman but I completely stand by his concepts and I use his concepts solely to swing trade and achieve massive Rs by taking maximum 4 trades a month!

Hi , on your swing trading is the leverage, 1:200 or FTMO which have 1:30 for swing.
Depends on the prop firm I trade on. It can vary. But in general I don't care how much leverage they provide.
This is so true and works for me. By swing trading I can easily profitable by 1:4 RR

For me I have tried and I know 1 min 5 min price action is mostly rubbish on its own. Only higher time frames rules. Either from a swing or day trade in order to profit is still looking at the higher time frames. Less stress less effort to keep looking at the charts is great.

two other issues are that market manipulations hit scalpers way more often than it does hit swing traders. prices can be easily manipulated for 5 minutes but it requires more effort to do it over weeks. slippage can also affect scalpers way more, pushing the stop farther than originally intended (basically you have extra risk on every SL you set)
scalpers also have a talent to position themselves against larger timeframes participants.
SCALPING IT'S HARD BUT WORKS. YOU NEED MORE DISCIPLINE BECAUSE THERE WILL BE ALWAYS A LOT OF OPPORTINUTIES.

If you dont have an edge Than no matter what kind of trader you are since you can blow Swing just slower Than Scalp trading.
In my opinion if you have a right edge and emotion control than scalping is the best way to grow smaller accounts which are under amount of xxmillion $
and for learning curve also scalping is better way to practice

Mathematically you're extremely unlikely to scalp your way to millions of dollars. Its much harder to have an edge scalping forex because of the spreads and more trades does not equal more money.
I totally agree, scalping for me is just more time efficient, I prefere to know faster when I am right or wrong.

Since these companies, including FTMO, have a system in which when the day ends they calculate 5% of the balance with their profit, this means:

Lower % efficiency causes overtrading in the long term and swing trading has low % efficiency,
What is the difference whether you take a trade with one lot and catch 100 pips your stop loss has 30 pips or in scalping tp 16 pips and stop loss 8 pips taking 5 lots will ultimately come out to the same amount , and the trade lasts a few minutes instead of hours or a whole day
