i hope all who watch understand how wonderful it is to have videos like these for us to watch for generations to come. the great men who fought for our country will live on forever because of this
Willie, thanks for sharing this amazing story. You did what you had to do, war is ugly. I am really glad you made it out alive and I thank you for your heroic service!
All of us who were privileged enough to fly the F-8 in combat in the skies over North Vietnam considered ourselves pretty tough. But I'm not sure very many of us were as tough as Willie Sharp. Bravo Zulu sir.
I still cry many nights from what I've experienced and I'm forever grateful for people like Willie for having the strength to share the stories I'm not able to.
That got intense. Thank you for sharing. It was obvious that he was reliving it in his head as he was telling the story and that it had been a very deep personal experience he was sharing. Bravo Zulu.
I have heard stories like this numerous times, and each one is compelling and fascinating. I can hear them all the live long day. One thing that is common with a lot of these men is the toll paid afterwards. When you do what had to be done to survive, more than likely it will haunt you for the rest of your days. Witness this fine man here.

Brovo Zulu sir. Thank you for your service.
My dad was a green shirt with the F-8s. I’m grateful that you are recording the stories from these brave men.
all these years later and it still bothers him. This is a man with heart and soul.

Bravo Zulu.
What a story. I get why telling it hit him hard, few of us have been in his situation and lived to tell the tale.
You're a great guy Willie, god bless you ❤
