I work at the 99 cent store. They tell us to say that the stuff we put out does cost more but if you go anywhere else that stuff can cost you (blank) amount so people are getting a better deal and all that

It’s true! But also make sure to call them ahead and ask if the sale started at the store. I used to work at the 99 and customers would come ask why the items weren’t on sale yet. In some cases, like our store, we had to wait a couple days for the go ahead to put them on sale.
