Love everything but the reverse books. It looks okay in a photo I guess, but in real life it is pretty silly
Anyone who truly loves books would agree. I don't have a problem with a few books turned backwards, sideways or even open. It gives your library a welcoming friendly look but as a style device. Nope.
@@cj-cw7wi might be ok if you don't actually read any of the books and they are just for show. Personally I don't like it. I also don't like books grouped together by colour.

Loved all of these tips/ideas except for turning the books. Mostly because I love to read books! But I actually don't keep many in my living room anyhow.

I have loved every idea you have come up with other than putting books backward so they blend in with the decor. I would think someone was illiterate if I walked in and saw a bookshelf like that. Not really into painting the covers either.
Glass bottles for shampoo and conditioner would get my hands slippery then they would slide out of my grasp and shatter on the floor. But the brown colour is pleasant.
I am a book reader, so would never turn my books around..but a project I want to do is to make calmer covers for them which I can label.
This is a great idea, recover books instead of flipping them around
The tip on using rug tape is excellent. I have a cat that loves to surf on rugs when he's zooming around while playing. I straighten out my mats 100s of time a day. He's cute but can get annoying. I'll definitely look into using rug tape.
That throw blanket tip and water in the vase is everything ❤️

My favorite tip was the seasonal changes. I was going to buy a pumpkin set but now I think this looks much more elegant. And hey my kids are grown.

the cord hide one and the rug tape onces are the best, forgot about those, but the hiding the ugly is one i do every day, such a good first rule!

Love your clothes and boots you purchased on Thread Up Online Thrift Store. You look fantabulous in everything! And of course your overall video is excellent once again. Another interesting way to incorporate decor into your home which can stay all yr. round, is by adding a big rock - one the size you can carry. I found mine at the lake - one each in a black, grey, and another nice beige one. Each of these in different shapes I have placed around the home on the floor and one up on console. I always get complements on them.

LOVE THE BOOK ONE. I do this already lol definitely not hard to find a book without the sleeve... people always have to say something. Honestly ALOT look better without the sleeve and have pretty text underneath!

Kristen, I just bought a new mattress, mattress, cover, pillows. I don't get the duvet cover and comforter thing! Sorry, it seems like such a task. I am sure you covered it . Great ideas. I love them all. I used to use silk plants for each season all through my home. How do you decorate and still be somewhat minimal without storing all the seasonal items for four times a year? I don't have near enough room for my necessary items let alone storing decorator items. Are there tips and suggestions how to decorate but have minimal items?
