Ehhhhhh ok! Im a british soldier and was serving in Cyprus for 6 months (2016) ! I was board out my skull and ended up inside a MTG shop having never heard of it before! Guy behind the desk was real nice guy and got me into collecting the cards for my time there! I don't even know how to play the game but fell in love with the art! I bought this exact card ( foil ) from him for £15 and also a revised underground sea for £10 along with 1000's of other cards! Only now am i starting to realize these things are worth money now 😂 lucky i sleaved, foldered and boxed them till today when i saw this vid. I jumprd out my chair and ripped that box open 😂

Now i feel i need someone who knows what they are looking at to go through my 20+ folders and tell me what is worth anything as i have no idea 🤣 the guy in the shop was some sort of MTG judge for games and he sold me some " judge cards "? They valuable or just special? I did not pay alot of money for all my cards as most were a shop made lucky dip packet type thing! But a few in the packets were decent cards! I was buying the packets faster than he could put them together 😂 the cards are addictive to collect!
Congratulations 🎉 🎊 In 2015 I paid a whopping...$22.07 Yes. That's it. FTV pretty flat too 🌌🌠 2015 no 5 color huge commanders existed. I started to play 5 color heavily after getting that & a copy artifact & forcefield. You got a nice copy of ftv mox 🔹

WotC will absolutely crack the reserve list in the future. They may not necessarily make exactly the same card, but they will definitely make more powerful ones. What do you think they're going to do when they have reprinted everything of value and the entire game is in the bulk bin? -- or they could do what they did with Berserk, Demonic Tutor, and Sol Ring... just remove them from the list. WotC is the only money-maker that Hasbro has and they've already been shown to not be very forward-thinking. When Hasbro needs more money, they'll shake that reserve tree for more fruit.
With the reaction to magic 30 I don’t see it being likely. But I don’t think too grim, as far as what I’ll do? I’ll be able to be proud of myself and say I tried and then on top of that I can scoop even more copies and I’ll be happy. I’ve set myself up good and gonna keep on being good. I could lose all my cards in a fire tomorrow, lord forbid knock on wood, and as far as my finances I’d have well over 85% of my net worth still so I’d be sad but nothing bad would happen to me
@@kodeenmtg The reaction largely wasn't about printing proxies of reserved cards. It was almost all about the cost. It's fine to have things of value. Magic, like anything else, is a gamble. Those who got-in in 2014 and earlier won big. Just keep in mind that this guy should never again see the light of day. If you put it in a deck, someone with sticky fingers is going to think they deserve it more than you.
@@89qwyg9yqa34t I disagree with that as a general statement. The people that don’t wanna go above and beyond will always complain about cost. But the reserve list means something to a lot of people
No wrong choice for sure, let’s you get a 200$ additional reserve list card or something else neat. You know I’m gonna say spring for this version the foiling and art completely blew me away when I saw it in person

Imo, serialized cards are purely for collectors…most are pretty good cards w/ a number on it Reserved list cards are for collectors too but players want them also

I used to crack these things back in the Stronghold days. Never thought about buying singles as a 7th grader, $15 back then.
My only regret is I didnt discover magic until I was 17 😂😂😂 msrp being 35$ on the from the vault makes me cry.

Sweet! I have 2 lp copies but need a third for my reclaimer deck... (I don't have a ton of expensive cards but I am putting together a legacy deck)
Keep on working hard. It goes past the cards fr it feels 3 times as shiny when I know how hard I worked for it

Im old. I have a NM Stronghold copy. The backlash caused by that printing caused a lot of problems back when Wizards actually cared about MTG.
