  • QUESTION: I need some helpers to answer a quick question. Would you be interested in an Ad-Free version of these walks and how much would you think is a fair and reasonable price? Let me know in the comments. Thanks.
This week we take a walk in Arches National Park. I'm a big fan of public lands and believe we need to protect them. Luckily we have the national park system. Arches has a fascinating geological history and even more beautiful landscape.
Let's take a virtual walking tour across the red rocks from iconic and beautiful Delicate Arch to the parking lot. It's winter and we get some snow as well so watch your step.
    But..Keep on Steppin' -H

Elevation coming FROM Delicate Arch is MORE BEAUTIFUL than going uphill to the arch. THANKS for walking and filming this route.

You are so welcome Angela and also, going downhill you don't have to listen to me huff and puff. :-)

Hi Henry, I was just thinking to myself, as you talked about the happy trees, “Henry really is the Bob Ross of walking videos”! ❤️

    Wow, the colors! 😍
I have to be completely honest, the first few minutes I was holding my breath! 🫣
Adam (who was watching from the kitchen) said out loud, "Don't slip!" (It is a phrase he heard me say often when I took him to Glacier National Park for a visit. I drove shuttle for the park a couple of years, and we would hear over our radio about a visitor slipping and falling into the river; and it didn't end good). I had to tell myself that your video wouldn't have been posted 😉 IF you slipped and didnt make it.
See, I'm not the brightest bulb in the box, but I figured that one out. Ha
Other than that stress, lol, I loved this walk! You all are pretty brave going way up there, and for that I'm thankful. The snow, the red stone, and the vegetation was truly a palette of beauty! Thanks for sharing and thank you Lord that our buddy Henry didnt slip!😊

Hi Lisa, Joshua and Adam, thanks for sharing your experience and I always enjoy reading your comments. It must have been an incredible experience to drive a shuttle in glacier. What a wonderful office. Though it looked a little perilous in the video, it wasn’t so bad. Definitely had me a little nervous and watching my step carefully but otherwise OK. All the best to you all and thanks again. - H.

You even do your own stunts Henry! So close to the edge of the rim. A beautiful walk and the colour of the rocks wow. Certainly a hair raising but enjoyable experience😱

Utah is amazing. They've got my favorite parks in the country. And I live near Glacier!

Glacier is pretty epic for sure but I agree with you about Utah. And it's not just the national parks. The state parks and BLM lands are pretty cool too. -H

The Arches is a longer, steeper walk from the parking area than I realized. Thank you for navigating the rocks and trails to find the views. Loved how you pointed out the vegetation. I was thinking of the names of different paints as you were describing the colors...Alizarin Crimson, Pthalo Blue, Burnt Sienna, etc. I grew up watching Bob Ross and his "happy trees". Thank you for hiking places I'm unable to go to. I''ll keep tagging along behind you. Linda

Beautiful but too darn cold for me as a Floridian. I'll have to wait till summer to check it off the list!!😅

    • @CityWalks
      @CityWalks  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

Haha. It really only looks cold. I know it's a cliche but the dry air really doesn't feel as cold, unless the wind is blowing. I was wearing carhardts, a medium weight puffy jacket, and a hat. And I was fine. You could do it! Thanks for watching and commenting. -H

Hi K, while it looked scary, this trail actually had pretty good traction at that time. We walked another trail in the afternoon where we had to turn back because it got really slippery and had some pretty tall falls. Such a beautiful morning though. Thanks for watching and commenting. -H

I believe they’re talking about Arch Linux which is a complex operating system, and the users tend to brag about using it.
