Yer, there's a lot of grayling in all the stretches .unfortunately for them once tge dace arrive in numbers every summer they can't compete to get yo tge bait. I have caught big grayling in summer in the dace catch,s but they look really rough in summer . Anyways, if you fancy the stretch, it's 6o quid a year.
Yes, for me, grayling are autumn and winter fish. Disappointing when hooked in late spring and summer when I'm fly fishing for trout. I think I know the stretch, but I fish the PAAS bit further upstream. Usually have it to myself 👍👍👍 Great thumbnail btw, that got me interested when it popped up 😂
@soultrader57fishingandmusi25 fished the pass stretch a lot, and before they acquired it after pendle had it. It's very shallow and Peggy. Some big barbel and chub in the stretch. Done some big nets of dace opposite the weeping willow. And the pissing billy outflow. Had a lot of big sea trout further along on the factory over the years. They settle there and tend to come out as it goes dark. I hooked a few that never stop once you hook them and pop the line. . Fun stretch 🤪
@garywilliamsandmitsy it's interesting what you say about the sea trout! I've got that big flat above the weir down for a night time sea trout assault this summer, especially the top end where there's a wall and heavy tree cover on the north bank. I've caught sea trout kelts there in January dropping back to the sea when I fished for grayling, which was encouraging
It's a cracking little peg. I will be fishing it with some bigger baits. The Rd side is collapsing on this peg, so it changes all the time. It is at least 2 feet deeper than another peg if not deeper on the whole length of the river.
I gave up my Prince albert ticket last year. It wasn't my cup of tea, more cheifs than Indians. This stretch on the calder is alot better than the albert stretch in my opinion
Keep it up Gary,I always enjoy watching your content, always entertaining and informative
Thanks Jason 😊
Nice work, Gary. If its where I think it is, I'm surprised there's no grayling! Very competent angling, my friend. 👍

@@garywilliamsandmitsy , i see long tail on stick float. How much over depth was that? Must be a nice run through
Superb net of fish from a lovely stretch. Thanks for sharing,Gary and take care 👍🎣👏👏
I reckon was only just tripping. Maybe 3 inch over depth ended up about 7 foot
