    In the world of men's wardrobe essentials, a navy suit ranks up there as one of the most important items. It's classic. It's versatile. It's timeless. And, honestly, every guy looks good in a navy suit. While there are limitless styling possibilities, in today's video we're focusing on a minimalist approach to styling a navy suit. Less is more and often makes a bigger statement. Here are five outfits ideas to prove that point.

    Which look was your favorite?

      Look #2 is my favorite. I'm a young teacher that likes to dress slightly older than my age without looking overly formal since no other male teachers at my school wear tailored clothing. I am always looking for new ways to dress down my suits and many of the looks in this video give me a lot of inspiration.

    You and DevonOnDeck are my favourite. Everyone else just seems to dress to impress others, it seems y'all do it for yourselves first, and it ends up impressing other people too. There's little snobbery, and a lot of class, and the muted, beautiful colors you use just soothes my soul. They're also the colors I like. :)

    • @hespokestyle
      @hespokestyle  4 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @Ryezn5057
      @Ryezn5057 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@hespokestyle Looking again, it could be the cut of the jacket. Compared to other blazers you wear these look like they are over draping by an inch too much in the shoulder. I like everlane products, but to me this is a miss, well other than the price!

    you still have to also know how to wear a navy suit you need a vest or DB suit for minimalism look in the mix, the white running shoes are a no no only Gucci white sneakers with a dress suit to rock that style, it looks cheap guys never wear a suit on a plane for the long hull, you always could change into a suit at your destination nice and fresh.

    First and foremost, with all due respect. I admire your classic taste and choices in men’s clothing, fragrances, watches, and accessories. However, in my opinion, the white sneakers interrupt the dark color flow. I believe, same style dark colored sneakers (navy, black, brown) will complement the sporty look in a continuous flow of a classic style.

    I have a few items from Everlane and I am subscribed to their emails so I was aware that they released a suit. However, I wasn’t sold on it when I looked at it online. Good thing I didn’t get it. This suit is awful! This is by no means a criticism on you, Brian, it’s not your fault the suit is bad, in fact I really like the way you styled it. I can totally see myself wearing of few of the looks you put together, 10/10 when it comes to styling. However the suit jacket is boxy, the shoulders looked really padded and overall it looks weird. The pants are way too skinny around the thighs and make the legs looks strange. I don’t care that this is a $300.00 suit, it’s not worth it...very poor construction.

    - #early! Hey Brian, kindly accept my invitation to connect on LinkedIn haha!
    - i think navy and black looks alright, but not great together as they are different colours but lack contrast. there is nth wrong with it, i guess it's a matter of preference. i know raphael from the gentleman's gazette isn't a fan of this colour combination either.
    - i like that sweatshirt and sweater you featured in this video!
    - i didn't expect you to have the white shirt, white sneaker outfit. it looks fine in all honesty, but a suit and sneakers together are not really my cup of tea. i'd opt to wear jeans/chinos with the jacket if i wish to wear sneakers.

    Without faulting the actual make of the suit, but in terms of cut and design there is a clear H&M vibe to this. And why is at least one button hole on the arm functional, while the one on the lapel is non-existent like in a cheap kids party costume? Sorry Brian, but this doesn't exactly scream "quality"...

    • @hespokestyle
      @hespokestyle  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can report that the quality is most certainly beyond that of H&M. Is it MTM? Definitely not, but it is an OTR garment.

    • @Tenkterian
      @Tenkterian 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@hespokestyle The fit is alright, Brian. It's mostly the lapels, especially the way the collar curves into the gorge and some other design elements that make this suit appear way cheaper than your other garments - even entry level ones.

    It's easy for a slim, fit guy to make a cheap suit look good. That being said, the lapel shape, width, and gorge is awful on that suit and it makes all the outfits look cheap. At $300, you can do better from SuitSupply blue line for a $100 more or Spier & Mackay for $50 more.

    I normally always enjoy these videos, but this time the suit looked so bad that it kinda ruined it unfortunately. The fit is far from what I'm used to seeing on your channel, the trousers look like black skinny jeans and especially the jacket lapels/collar look weird. I like your channel and watch most all of your videos and of course am subscribed. I like the way you styled this suit and changed it up, but I have to say, that suit is the worst thing I've ever seen you wear. Not your fault. It's pooling on your right chest in the front, the lapel just doesn't look right and it just looks cheap. You did the best you could with it, but......

  • @Lassehansen3

    The combination ideas are great as always Brian! 👍 though the suit itself dosen’t cut it for me, something just doesn’t seems right in the way it is cut, especially at the lapel/neck area 🤔 but I suppose that there always will be a noticeable difference between a suit for less then 300 and the Michael Andrews Bespoke suits that you usually present us with.

      Totally. I get that it is a performance suit and maybe therefore the cut and design is a little different but for less then 300$ I would totally suggest saving a little more and getting a SuitSupply suit for like 350-400$. Way better cut and design. But hey sure totally get that he has to make a living as well, perhaps some more casual outfit from Everlane would had fitted better with their aesthetic 😊
