Audio and video editing on this is top notch. I like how The String Player Gamer edited Lara to fit into the video. Also it's cool how your wallpaper room fits the style of the video perfectly. FUN TRACK!
This is my favorite of all your videos so far. When I first heard this song in FFIX, my attitude towards the game changed completely. I wasn't really into the game, but this music blew my mind. I started looking for other parts of the game to love, and now it's one of my favorites in the series.
Ah one of my favorite songs from Final Fantasy IX (Also my favorite FF game), so many memories. Funny story, when I was younger before I would go to sleep, I used to have a single save file at esto gaza, and I would put a sleep timer on my TV and fall asleep to the music, those were the days...
After playing Chocobo Hot and Cold all the way up to Chocobo Gardens, fair to say this is the piece I know from FFIX the most, even more than Melodies of Life, Assault of the White Dragons and Dark Messenger xD
LOOLLL Lara surrounded by all those Mario's! Lara, you should do a performance some time in front of a green screen, who knows what funny effects people can add!
Ahh, couldn't have happened to a nicer tune. I must say, I half expected Lara to drop some soul-crushing mastery of the guitar on us. But the piano was brilliant as always. As was this mysterious Mini Mario Orchestra.
WOOOOOOOOOOW! Amazing!! How could i've missed this video 4 days!?! Stupid subscription box of youtube! :( ... Best performance of one of the best tunes of the best FF ever!!
Thank you! I can probably credit the Spanish influence to my country, the Philippines, who was a colony of Spain for 300 years back in the 1500s. So naturally, a LOT of Spanish culture is now commonly found in everyday life here in the Philippines. Music is one.
***** Not really. Let's take flamenco as an example. Even in Spain, flamenco is not a widespread thing and there are parts where you can find flamenco singing and dancing only because it's popular with tourists but traditional music is very different (catalan "sardana", aragonese "jota", basque "aurresku", galician "muñeira"...). Mexico most traditional music style is the "corrido" (my mexican cousins will correct me if I'm wrong), which is quite different from flamenco. And also there's the recovered music from the native cultures there was there before we arrived to f*ck it all up. That doesn't mean your adaptation is not awesome, because it is. Only that is a sore point for both countries to be confused so frequently.
It's so cute when people think that Mexico and Spain are the same thing. That Asian guy (I don't really care where he is from) should document himself a little bit more.
Possibly my favorite Final Fantasy piece of music, so happy to see this! Was the visual setup an homage to the particular scene early in the game (at the opera)?
2 genius musicians come together to make the finest cover of this song every made!
Audio and video editing on this is top notch. I like how The String Player Gamer edited Lara to fit into the video. Also it's cool how your wallpaper room fits the style of the video perfectly. FUN TRACK!

Thank you! I can probably credit the Spanish influence to my country, the Philippines, who was a colony of Spain for 300 years back in the 1500s. So naturally, a LOT of Spanish culture is now commonly found in everyday life here in the Philippines. Music is one.
FFIX was amazing.
Great video
I must have played the Black Mages version like a million times. Good times :).
Great job!!
But remember, Spain and Mexico aren't the same.
Different countries and cultures yes. But the traditional music has similarities, which is why they fit together.
What? You mean all latin countries aren't all the same thing? Don't they all speak Spanish? /s
moonra What? You mean all anglophone countries aren't all the same thing? Don't they all speak English?

It's so cute when people think that Mexico and Spain are the same thing. That Asian guy (I don't really care where he is from) should document himself a little bit more.
Possibly my favorite Final Fantasy piece of music, so happy to see this!
Was the visual setup an homage to the particular scene early in the game (at the opera)?
That's another way of looking at it. :) That is the usual visual setup for my Mini Mario Orchestra videos though.
