Battleship (2012) - Rihanna Interview - HD Movie
Peter Berg (Hancock) produces and directs Battleship, an epic action-adventure that unfolds across the seas, in the skies and over land as our planet fights for survival against a superior force. Based on Hasbro's classic naval combat game, Battleship stars Taylor Kitsch as Lt. Alex Hopper, a Naval officer assigned to the USS John Paul Jones; Brooklyn Decker as Sam Shane, a physical therapist and Hopper's fiancée; Alexander Skarsgård as Hopper's older brother, Stone, Commanding Officer of the USS Sampson; Rihanna as Petty Officer Raikes, Hopper's crewmate and a weapons specialist on the USS John Paul Jones; and international superstar Liam Neeson as Hopper and Stone's superior (and Sam's father), Admiral Shane.

She may not be the best actress but you cant blame the girl for wanting to branch out and try new things. She is an entertainer after all. I just saw a really cool biography about her called Good Girl Gone Wild and it definitely gave me a new respect for her. She is a really talented musician. I think most people dont know how to look past the "bad girl" image.
IDK Id love to see her do more movies I was thinking she would make a great Josephine Baker if they decide to do a biopic on her either her or Doja Cat

No it wasn't my intention to compare, I just think it's insane that someone can gain so much attention, so much hate/love whatever for being mediocre. Her fame is her talent, she's able to survive in the spotlight, she knows the music business and she has a lot of fans, but I still don't understand what makes her of a higher status than anyone else in the world.
If you know anything about fame and celebrity its not necessarily the most talenetd that become stars I agree there are plenty of to her women who might sing or dance better than RIhanna but facts remain they are not as pretty as her I hate to say but in showbusiness that does matter optics come before anything else because visuals and beauty are what people respond to its also charisma and that it factor and Rih has charisma on 1000 there is something about her that draws you to her she has gravitas and when making a star thats what people factor into personality charisma and looks it sounds shallow but especially in this generation thats what people respond to

I think it's the first time I see her speak (I'm not a pop fan). I'm surprised at her cracked voice, I was expecting something smooth. If you didnt know her, you'd think she's a terrible singer :)) (but she's great).

Please don't question my intelligence, of course she is by all standards a singer, but does she have talent? Thats more what I was getting at. Haven't seen this film and maybe if I want to check out her acting skills I will, yet to evaluate her ability. But I don't consider her a talented singer, she's more like an industry pawn, provocative yes, able to attract mass attention and audiences certainly, but talented, I don't think so compared to the likes of Beyonce and other legends in the game.
