In episode 154, it was a slight accident, but they toppled over, and them sharing their mutual feelings, then they almost kissed. The reason they didn't kiss, was because Jellal stated that he can't be with someone who follows the light, and he stated that he'd only hurt Erza more, as his way of atoning for his sins. "As long as Erza is happy, it's more than enough for me." further proves that he cares about her and loves her.
