Wow! I've been studying Psalms for 6mo.s now, seeing all the times it mentions God's wings has been SO healing for me. Like Ps 17:8 "keep me as the apple of Your eye, hide me under the shadow of Your wings."
I'm moving this Thurs and this msg is SO pertinent!🥰 I want to ABIDE in Him! It is a choice

Oh man! This was such an affirmation of the lesson God started teaching me this past summer and continues to lead me through. My husband and I sold our home of 25 years to buy an Rv and travel the country in April of ‘22. We were enjoying the journey but the question of having a “home base” often came up. Also sometimes missing the sticks and bricks house and community we had built in 30 years in COS. But we truly felt this was God’s new calling for our current chapter of life. Last summer (‘23j we had an accident in our truck towing our RV that damaged both. No one was physically hurt but our “home” was broken. Practically speaking we had to move into a hotel then back with family. But my heart took it very hard. I questioned God. Lots of conversations with God and crying and fear lead me to the lesson in the message you spoke today. God wants to be my Home. Every place He uses refuge, fortress, safe place, He told me to substitute the word Home and recognize it’s Him. It took five months to get back on the road for various reasons but I truly feel a peace that no matter where our journey takes us, we are Home because, as you said, John, we are choosing to turn toward Him and abide in the shelter that is God. Thank you for summing up what the Spirit is teaching me. His is so good! God has used the song “Home” by Canyon Worship to minister to my heart during this time.

Thank you for sharing your experience & putting into words this beautiful truth 💓 Our home is where our heart is --- if our hearts belong to the Lord.

So many great points in one podcast. We recently adopted this psalm as our fight song. Yes, we love connecting the shelter with the secret place Jesus talked about. Making the choice to abide in Him and love Him then when we call upon God vs.15 we are attentively Listening for His answer = embracing intimacy. Loved the turning of the heart to in the direction of. Amen

I listen this this podcast every Monday on the way to and from work. When you talked about the forts as a kid, I had to chuckle bc I went right back to childhood. I came home that evening to find 3 of my kiddos excitedly running to me saying mommy look what we built and there was a huge fort built in our entry way! So timely! Thanks for the weekly pauses and adventures!

Thank You! I have not heard Psalm 91 like this. An active engagement with our Heavenly Father. I memorized this Psalm years ago to help me with some fears I had. God used you to bring this Word back to life for such a time as this. Again, Thank you for your Ministry!✝️

The Chosen shows us that prior to being the first one Jesus reveals Himself to in the resurrection - Mary was paying attention…

Something has been bugging me about the set since you went live on TH-cam. The table in that space is awkward and it makes the camera angles awkward. I just want to throw this idea out there but what about a half round table in that space? Honestly, you could cut the one you have to fit your needs. If this was the only thing that worked I totally understand.

Read Kristen Du Mez Jesus and John Wayne to get some perspective. . .on tge fad of the men's movement and how stuck in tge 1990's this may be, and potentially unhelpful this actually is.
