Hey guys, thank you for watching! Just wanted to clarify a couple points:
    - The wheels are Fifteen52 Traverse MX wheels (here's where to find them, if you're interested): parts.vw.com/p/Volkswagen_2021_Atlas/17x8-Traverse-MX-wheels-by-fifteen52-----Radiant-Silver/94733613/3CN071497AA7W.html
    - You can get the pieces to the Basecamp accessory package through your VW dealer, if you'd prefer that over ordering the pieces online.
    - The Basecamp package is not compatible with the *R-Line* (not R Type or Type R, sorry for any confusion!), as the R-Line is also a body appearance package.
    - The Basecamp accessory kit is also only compatible with Atlas models that have a tow hitch.

I worked for a VW dealership last summer. The base camp appearance package is just that... an appearance package. The Atlas is a very good road trip crossover overall. Super comfortable and well laid out. Try the 2.0. Here in Colorado, I prefer the 2.0 overall which surprised me for the size of the vehicle.

I know you guys don't have the best reputation with subaru, but I really hope they give you an outback wilderness model to check out. I'd love to see your review on that. Or maybe you can get someone to lend you one

My wife had one for about a week as a rental. My take on it (and hers) was kinda, meh. It was fine, but just really blah. Interior seemed huge, however. Our Highlander isn't very exciting either, but at 161k has had zero issues other than replacing normal wear items. Something to be said about that peace of mind, that it just works.

Have a 2019 (without the basecamp package) and was also very surprised how easy towing a smaller trailer was. Really impressed me. I would agree though it is not an offroad vehicle. Maybe some slightly rough dirt roads and that's about it.

Only thing worth buying as an add-on to Atlas is the 17 inch rims and all terrain tires. Real skid plates would be worth it if you are really going off road a lot. Would also need a lift kit installed- and these probably would affect stock calibration from stock wheels/tires. Seems the faux-skid plates package is useless- and also decreases ground clearance. The actual stock Atlas SEL is a great car though with decent power, great digital dash with map, great Fender stereo on premium model, decent ground clearance, and a 4Motion system that has practical use off road....

People that have decent eye site. Subaru station wagons are fugly. Only the CrossTrek looks decent as a smaller hatchback & that doesn’t compete with the Atlas. Not all of us want to be forced to live with the anemic powertrain & ugly design philosophy of Japanese vehicles.

Was not expecting this to be shown in Moab on your trip to view the Jeeps. A bonus content! Interesting, yet as stated, overly priced and overly stated name implied. And it is a heck of a coincidence that you referenced your trailer, was just thinking about that thing 2 videos ago. Glad you are still using it. :)

Oh yeah, I remember the days of the Touraeg alright. That was the first SUV I fell in love with. One of those models had a v12 engine with almost a thousand lb ft of torque OMG! Those were the days. They still have the Touareg in Europe but I think the v6 is the largest engine you can get with it. A damned shame... It takes away a lot of the luxury not being able to just waft away, even if you're overtaking some truck uphill.

I say, do whatever the heck you want, so long as it’s legal. Heck, get a Hemi 392 Jeep Wrangler, give it a 4” lift, add some 37s on 26” wheels!! It’s yours. I won’t like it, but that’s ok. So long as you like it. Park it on your lawn and say it’s been off-road. You’re not lying, but don’t get caught by your HOA!!
