I was on a Matt Talbot retreat a long time ago. One crazy night while there I was forced into the Chapel by my special friend aka sponsor. At that time the last place you would find me would be in a Church or Chapel. I didn't know what to do while there so i kept raging between heaven & hell. I did not want to be an alcohoiic. Someone came in put on Amazing Grace and left me. As i listened, i began to cry and i continued to for 6 weeks. Finally, thinking i.lost my mind, i went to talk with a priest. The priest explained that all my tears was the power of Jesus Christ healing me from my alcoholism. I have been sober for 47 1/2 years now thanks be to God & Matt Talbot. I am no longer lost........AMEN, THANKS JESUS. I will never forget what happened to me and i share it with my AA 17:37 friends.

I was brought up in a Christian God fearing home but I learnt from early days I needed a personal relationship with him. My parents faith couldn't save me only the blood of Jesus Christ would bring me the confidence in his salvation that they had. As a child of 9 years old I came "Just as I am and waiting not, to rid my soul of one dark blot, to thee whose blood can cleanse each spot. O lamb of God I come I come. Now as a 64 year old man I thank the Lord everyday that he revealed himself to me thru that hymn. Only he knows what the future would have been if that call to a country side church platform had been ignored. But that night in 1969 i was led to Christ by an unknown man who led me to confess that I needed Jesus Christ. Today in 2024 that night will be forever the turning point in my life where i was taken from a Chritian Family and became a born again soul for Jesus Christ. Amazing grace shall always be my song of praise...he looked beyond my fault and saw my need!

Yes. I can relate. God saved me and my son’s life from a 2 year court battle dealing with parental alienation. Fighting that against his father, I saw it all wrong. God taught me to forgive through this 2 year battle…and neither of us has won. But I found Gods grace. I would not be here today without him, the pain, the devil had me almost take my life. Thank you Jesus.

First heard this song when I was born, I played it for my dad as he fell into his forever sleep.
Both he and my late sister in law Angie were with me when I had my tonic clonic seizure last May!
My dad told me that I had to survive as mum would need me , he told me Nigel would need me also ( Nigel is my younger brother).
My dad stood at my side next to mum when she was in hospital.
He stood at my brother's side when he was also in hospital!
I'm not particularly religious, but I know what I have seen and felt.
The love of family goes past death.
The first time I met my wife's grandmother, the spirit of a soldier in uniform stood behind her a corporal.
No pictures of him on display.
My wife and her grandmother puzzled as to how I knew he was a corporal .
I told them he was standing behind the chair my grandmother in law sat in!
I am neither Christian nor Jewish, so I may not know how you really feel about 'God'. But I do understand the beauty of the song "Amazing Grace". As a human being living in this world.
God has made me differentiate the world things and heavenly things,I have to understand and to describe value worldly things.
