    This dentist is very impressive. I hope mine knows as much as she does. Her patient s have the best chance of success with all the knowledge sh has. There is so much more to these aligned than I had any idea of. So I’m having a little trouble being optimistic at this point. It’s a very slow process.

    I did everything by the book and then some. I am still in refinement phase after 11 months because of scheduling delays (dentist delays & office closed) along with inaccurate movement predictions… Needless to say, I’m loving my results 💗💗💗

      Sounds like you are the ideal patient. Refinements are often necessary and does not mean that something is wrong. Good luck with your treatment.

    Please yes! Another video on dark triangles or the little gap between the front two teeth. I’ve notified more space/gaps in my teeth since starting treatment. I thought the only way to fix it would be composite bonding :/

      IPR is a way to do it. They shave in between your teeth to make space and close that small space.

    I have a question, if you order 3 power or c-chain trays, and you order optional trays with ipr at the end of treatment to combat black triangles, what is the order of the trays? chain first or ipr first? What if you opt out of either, but you want to do the other treatment. wouldnt the order of the trays decide which you have to opt out of first? with other words: How is this possible if you want two seperate options in the end of the plan? sorry if my question is unclear

    My dentist told me from the beginning we would do new impressions every 10 trays (total trays 27) and so far I in fact did my new impressions after tray 10.
    May this be helpful to avoid refinements at the end of process or is this normal procedure and I will still need refinements at the end?

    I feel uncomfortable with IPR, because you get enamels thinned. If done correctly, it might not influence on your dental health, but you can't guarantee it's done correctly.

    • @TrayMinder
      @TrayMinder  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts. You’re right that certain issues can occur when done incorrectly. Hand IPR (strips, not rotary) may be a safe choice to consider if your doctor is willing to do it.

    I have 5 crowns and the attachments wouldn't stick to those teeth even with the advanced adhesive, so I'm on the first round of refinements. Unfortunately, buttons were called for on my refinements and guess where they were supposed to go? My teeth are looking pretty good after 24 trays (I have 14 to go), but I'm thinking I'll have to settle for a slightly less than optimal result due to this challenge.

      You’re right that crowns are tricking for attachments and buttons.

    I was suppose to change trays today 24/30 and my ortho was like let's do refinement because my trays altered my bite so much to where I have no contact on the left side when I bite how do you fix this? Will my teeth be pulled up?

    • @TrayMinder
      @TrayMinder  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question. Definitely talk to your orthodontist about it, as only he/she can see you and comment on your unique findings.

  • @uvsarah

    How does IPR hide the dark triangles? Is IPR about making the gap bigger?

    • @TrayMinder
      @TrayMinder  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      IPR polishes the PART of the teeth that are touching and creates a uniformed space that can be closed up orthodontically.

      @@uvsarah IPR = Inter-Proximal REDUCTION. meaning they SHAVE DOWN the sides of your teeth, removing ENAMEL from the sides, so that the teeth can be moved closer together. Removing enamel from the sides to achieve this seems a bit more than “polishing”.

    Can you wear Invisalign backwards

    • @TrayMinder
      @TrayMinder  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Do you mean going back in numerical order? Sometimes patients are asked to go back 1-4 aligners if their teeth are not tracking as planned. Talk to your treating orthodontist before going backwards though.

    Hi mam, after getting teeth clean I got gum receed which cause gaps in lower teeth@ bottom.. means my lower teeth upper side they are perfect but in lower side there are gaps .how to over come it?

    • @TrayMinder
      @TrayMinder  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually after a good cleaning, the gums are less inflamed and swollen and they shrink to normal healthier size. Also the tartar (white in color) is removed, so you’re likely seeing the gaps that were present but you weren’t necessarily aware of prior to the cleaning. Talk to your dentist about these dark triangles at the gum line.
