Hello Nick. Thank you so much for the comment, I try to assume some people do not have a lot of experience with using machine tools, or some hand tools, because of this I try to explain in depth some of the basic skills involved in using them. As time goes on I will be covering more involved jobs. So glad you are enjoying this series. Have you checked out my Hacksawing videos? A lot of people do not realise what is involved with this fantastic hand tool.
This is the URL for the first hacksaw video (there are four altogether) :th-cam.com/video/q0vBcjVqUqc/w-d-xo.html
If the URL doesn't work try searching for "Hacksaw Basics". Take Care Nick, nice talking to you. Jim

Hello Dennis. Thanks once again for your comment, at least I know one person is following along! Actually this morning (6:30 in UK) when I checked up on my channel there are 35 views on this new video, and 6 likes. Over the last few weeks things have been hectic in the Garratty household, I haven't been able to work on the Quill hub so it's still not finished. I'm making a batch of copper roses at the moment! Where abouts are you in the world Dennis? Take Care Jim

Hello Dennis. Nashville, the hub of country music, the Grand Ole Opry an all.
in 1980 When I was in my 20's I travelled to America and had a job driving a Dodge Maxi wagon 13 seater mini bus.
Spent several months driving people around on camping tours, it was a great job. In Nashville I remember going to a Bluegrass club amazing banjo music and singing. You live in a lovely place, so much different to Bedfordshire in England! Take Care Jim

@@CYC123 Nashville has changed a lot since you were Jim. In past few years is has experienced huge growth and is losing some of the old Country Music theme. Some of the older Bluegrass and Country Music venues are still around.

The older you get, the more differences you notice. My son who is now in his 20's sees this modern multi media world as normal, he couldn't function without his mobile phone. I don't think he has ever sent a letter using a stamp. When I was at school I had a slide rule, as I went into my apprenticeship I was bought my first ever calculator, the calculator was so much better than the slide rule!
