One of my favourite acoustic performances, everything is full on oasis in this: -peak of Liam's vocals -fantastic Noel backing vocals -stripped back to fuck -both brothers together Madferit x
I think Maine road was peak of Liam's voice.. but this is a classic.. I still love his voice now its just different but he's still got it.... TFI Friday my generation recently blew the roof off his voice was top notch...
Tan Quan Giang i personally think that his vocals sound like '95 here. his vocals at maine road were a lot more strained than they are here. i know it's '97, but it just sounds like liam's younger.
ROBERT DEAN I think it's because when he was touring he'd have to sing loudly over the guitars date after date, and because he of how he sings. He sounds fantastic in his new single wall of glass.
Big Poppa it's because a lot of these singers just say fuck it. Liam is not some educated singer he's a rockstar. I'm pretty sure he doesn't properly train his voice which he definitely should. You gradually lose your voice throughout the years, especially if you smoke and do drugs, and you need to practice with certain exercises to keep it. Same happened with Jon Bon Jovi. The guy had phenomenal range but suddenly lost it and hasn't sung the chorus for ''livin' on a prayer'' for almost 30 years now. Liam started singing more through his nose more because he's lost a bit of his range instead of practising and getting back the range. Someone like Michael Jackson would not even sing too much during rehearsals because he said he'd lose his voice somewhere on the tour Liam frequently had bad performances even at his peak. Heck they both even said with Noel that if they have 3 concerts in a row 1 is gonna suck ass :D.
Noel's range voice is so high and perfect on that ! I tried ton sing like him one time, jamming with friends around a fire... it was a foocking disaster...
I remember the other video where Liam says at the start: "I'm not, you know, I'm not hooligan, I don't go round picking fights with people..." It's just not the same without it.
My precious mum. The most down to earth woman ever. Could tell her anything. Now I don't have anyone. She's gone. Gone man. I wish I could speak to her once more. Anything to hear my mums voice. Her favorite song and my growing up song.
Found the cd with this song (track 4) at least a year ago buried away in a box with a hundred other cds. Have listened to it in my car back and forth to work countless times. Thank you Liam and Noel. Thank you so much for such a great song. Will never get tired of it.
Such a nostalgia kick I remember my mum recorded this documentary for me on tape when I was 7ish and I watched it over and over and over. I was obsessed, used to even ask the barber to cut my hair like Liam or Noel 😂
I rem this on some BBC docu back in the day. The clip before is Liam saying he doesn't want to fight all the time. Today this version is used on the Halifax ad in the UK.
The is beyond unreal, best live acoustic I've ever witnessed. Stripped down the egos this is what is OASIS was and how people adored them. I still fucking do.
What a beautiful version great acoustic guitar playing by noel and awesome singing by liam this is just awesome wow they harmonize so well together awesome
This was when someone asked oasis to sing any song and this is what they sang and they weren’t even prepared, despite this Liam’s voice is amazing as always

Outrageously amazing version of the song with Liam sounding outstanding and that jacket that Noel is wearing is class! The best band there ever was and ever will be
They fought so much, Noel and Liam. Its truly astonishing how much Oasis was really able to accomplish. After Be Here Now the albums started to shift and change focus they were still very great records but in my opinion the band started to fall, for better or for worse. I still look back remembering when i first listened to Definitely Maybe, WSMG, and Be Here Now and being totally mesmerized. Its hard to find that nostalgia again and i doubt i ever will. Oasis is in the past but its always nice to look back. Live Forever.
I remember watching this the night before I I got the album and the collected my GCSE results. The party that night only played Be Here Now. Great Times. Great Band.
It was broadcast on BBC terrestrial TV and was something of an event at the time. An exclusive program to promote Be Here now. It's them at their peak basically and well worth a watch. It never got better album wise than 1994-7. In that order
@@Madraver2010 it was a documentary called right here right now and they did a few tracks with interviews and trips around old haunts in Manchester like sifters etc. 1997
According to my own detective work this is an edited down version of a 6-minute long performance which can be found on Be Here Now on Spotify, listed as "Stand By Me - Live At Bonehead's Outtake". At 0:54 Liam actually goes into another verse but on this video it cuts to Noel's guitar and he goes straight into the chorus. I'm about 99% certain I'm right as they sound identical.
@@lewisjw3991 the versions are pretty much identical if you listen to them side by side. If Bonehead's said that then it must be a problem with the titling on the album, unless there's a reason for it of course.
