Very good results, however the true outcome on those tests may be different with larger coils on the other detectors, but the Nexus did come out way in front on this test.. :)
The thing is, I can tell that that nexus is unusably slow!.. Take that on a Roman site and you won't find anything due to masking. Constantly judging on 'depth' alone shows a singular misunderstanding of metal detecting.. Recovery speed is just as important as depth and often much more so, especially on ancient sites. Whenever I hear someone say 'but x machine is deeper' I know they're not that experienced in detecting ;-)
I have a tendency to think that people get over hung up on depth. I will take a machine that can ferret out the good targets amongst trash and crap that's found in a lot of hunting grounds over something that could find a coined 3 ft deep! Having a machine that can find a coin 18 in deep does you know good in it amongst trash if it can't discriminate that junk out of there because you won't reach the coin anyway and you won't hear the signal.
thats correct, but there is also the weak part of the NEXUS detectors, the construction is very fragil ,my machine already break the handle two times, now I glued and reforce with screws ,hope it will be fine, anyway the NEXUS in ground penetration is the winner :)
All detectors are tested in All Metal mode to get their best chance for detection. Discrimination is obtain by the screen of LED meter that is displayed on the video.
I have Nexus Standard mk2 for more than a year, Im almost everyday on field. This machine is very good on normal conditions soil and preforms well. On low-high mineralised terrain this machine is useless. It behaves like ambulance car, beeping on everything. Also goes frenzy on most types of rocks, especialy on blue-green type of rocks. Discrimination on mineralised terrain is bad. I search on mountain terrain with this machine where 80% is mineralised. For example, every Roman site in the mountains is mineralised (where they mined for ore) and by that machine is uselles. My friends with 200e detector preforms better than mine 1500e. Year before i used GM5+ and overall impresion was much better. Also my results-finds with new machine are much poorer, compared with other machines. I recommend using this machine on 0% mineralised conditions.
This video is an advertisement for nexus metal detector no more.,, coz why the user didn’t switch da xpdeus to da deep programm??? Personally I found a Roman coin the some size with deep programm on 70 cm
I bought the corinando from Hemel Hempstead three or four years ago ,it was junk made in a lock up, all the the logos came off in the stubble the telescopic shaft was a bad design switch under the control box stopped working after a week they sent me a new switch had to solder myself ,came with eight B&Q battery's I never used it for two weeks and the battery's started to leak, sold it pretty rapidly ,I never found it deeper than the explorer or the sovereign, you have to draw your own conclusions from these videos
What are you talking about mate? The Coronado has been out of production for many more years than 3 or 4. Nexus does not manufacture batteries, it was only courtesy that they sent a free set. Not their fault if batteries start leaking. I have Standard MP and the design and build quality is excellent. The deepest detector I have ever used and will never change it for anything other than a newer Nexus model.
If you never found Nexus deeper than explorer or sovereign it means only one thing: you never learned how to use it... Also, Coronado is a beginner level detector from the year 2007! For max depth you should look at the professional level model MP from 2016.
The depth any detector can detect is directly related to how much power you send to the transmit coil and how large the transmit and receive are. The physics that cause the problem is that the ground signal increase is 4 times faster than the target signal ,so if you if you increase by 2 or double, then the target gets twice as strong but the ground signal gets eight times as strong when you've overcome this problem and been awarded a Nobel prize send me another message and we will talk depths ,I don't think we will be talking any time soon.
Sorry, but the Deus owner have been using it for over 2 years and claims to know his detector. The Deus or any other IB detector with DD coils can not get this depth. Just forget about it.
Sorry this is not correct! The Fisher Goldbug DP (with the new software update) in all-metal mode makes 39 cm by coins with 25-30 mm! Actually it is the best coin-hunter machine on the market place.
Well we'v heard this rubbish before. When any digital detector gets down on any test the claim is ever - but the settings are incorrect, but the software is blah, blah. When are you people ever going to learn that DD coils have limited detecting range and can do only this much.
it wasn't ground balanced, but it wouldn't have mattered. It won't pick up at coin at 12'' with a 9'' coil. I have a Deus and very experienced with it, there is nothing you can do to squeeze out that signal with that small of a target.
Gray Matter yeah well my opinion is based in red clay pretty bad soil. I wasn't taking that into account here. It doesn't perform as good in my area as say the CTX based on depth, but it's almost as deep. But I didnt get this machine just for depth, it's unmatched in trashy areas, responsiveness is incredible.
***** i also have a deus and have found coins at 12inches with mine .i guess it comes down to the user and settings .but this is pretty stupid test cause the dues dosnt have the same coil as that machine also who wants to stand there all day and dig holes that big when the target could be junk .not very logical.
@@skilledbuilduk9694 I don't know who Catherine Smith is but you sound so damn convincing and so enthusiastic about her I am going to agree with you and give you a thumbs up!
Actually the test was flawed the Sorex got it just!the other detector where not tunes right.SE background noise to high.Nexus was not A good sound!XP not that good anyway.
My lovely Nexus❤❤❤❤

Is there a device you can recommend, my hobby

The nexus is in a league of its own "iffy signal". Haa nice name! The nexus recovery speed is top notch, and discrim is awesome.
Could u make a test vs mikron NRG 150?
From USA.EXCELLENT video!
Where is the Blisstool ?? Too scared to test it 😈
Very good

Did the detectors run in Disk or All Metal Mode??
All detectors are tested in All Metal mode to get their best chance for detection. Discrimination is obtain by the screen of LED meter that is displayed on the video.
the aka runs in dual mode .

explorer was too stable for such a large coil, sensitivity was set too low or semi-auto
Same inch Only nexus pulled my master right

For too clever specially:
Only transverse diameter gives depth, may be in your school taught Martian physics ))
+Catherine Smith (none) so does that make the deus 4.5' square

FYI - 37cm = 14.5 inches. So the coin is 2.5 inches deeper than the 12 inches everyone is discussing here.
