What a truly great person. Humble and down to earth despite the success, even at a very young age. It really shows that he was raised very well and is a very good person. Incredible tennis player also of course. Love Carlos!!

If Kyrious was more humble he would of had been more successful. Carlaz is handling the pressure very well at his age. Some people just can't handle fame pressure and success and Carlaz is handling it. Kyrious couldn't handle it the more he rises up the rankings and start beating top players he got more cocky and arrogant

For all those that keep going on and on about Novak and the "ifs" well, if Rafa didnt have as many injuries as he`s had in his carreer we dont know many less GS novak would have. Tennis players for one reason or the other dont make all the tournaments and they are aware of the points missing so its their choice what to do. That doesnt take away their no1 postition.

@@kaboomroom33 As I said elsewhere on this page: Alcaraz displays what would have happened if a prime Federer played nowadays : he would destroy everyone with big FH and variety. It's a very weak era nowadays with those ULTRA overrated, monolithic players Tsisipas, Rublev, Zverev, Sinner, Fritz, Berettini, Aliassime, Shapovalov... None of them would be top20 in 2000-2010 era against the likes of Berdych, Davydenko, Tsonga, Ferrer, Del Potro, Cilic, Nalbandian, Verdasco, Almagro, Gasquet, Simon and so on.
This 2020 gen is weak mentally, lack variety, just hit shots without thinking much. They have no tactical mind, and generally play passively, with no net skills (except Tiafoe). Imo they are even weaker than Dimitrov-Raonic-Nishikori...
Medvedev is the best from his generation, but not sure he would have been a top10 material in 2000-2010. Would you rate him above a prime Ferrer who got destroyed by the Fed-Djok-Nadal-Murray? Not sure. Let's hope Rune starts improving fast to provide some adversity to Alcaraz, otherwise he will easily complete several full calendar grand slams in his career.
Last but not least: I think a prime Jim Courrier would have been a way better opponent for Alcaraz than all these current noobs.

I guess it has to be that way with so many from the Press Cor there, but only 4 or 5 end up asking questions anyway. They should think of making it more informal.

Carlos was so dominant in this match. The roles were reversed: is was as if Medvedev was the newbie and Alcaraz was the veteran. No comparison. Medvedev looked like he’d landed on another planet and was totally outgunned.

If Carlos keeps his head down and continues to work hard like hes doing he could well be the next Rafa. I compared him to Nadal about a year ago

I don't think comparisons are good.
He is not Rafa 2. He is doing this in his own way. He admire Rafa, because is one of the best in history, but is a different player with his own style.

He is the number 1 for now since Djokovic is hugely stugggling against Medvedev.

Until stupid politics will be a burden to sport there will always be true athletes who feel the injustice.....thumbs up to Alcaraz.

Then there is a huge obsession to see Alcaraz vs Djokovic face off, if they do play against each other I hope Djokovic does better, because he ended up losing in Madrid and asking his team for help because he didn't know how to play him to Alcaraz, 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣, PATETIC DJOKOVIC!!! I hope that Djokovic does better, because with your friend Medvedev, Alcaraz hasn't even had it to begin with, 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 and to be very careful, because Carlos Alcaraz is raising the level more and more, so... ;)))

Carlos talks about gaining confidence, and he is only 19. Imagine the confidence he's gonna have at 25 ........
