    In his younger years preaching it was said that even non Christians would come out their homes to listen to him. A famous Irish Catholic actor even said that he would walk near the church just to listen to him preach because it was so powerful.

    When I found Ian Paisley as a Minister of Christ's - my opinion of him was changed on its head.
    I'm a Welshman and a Republican - and so could never agree with his politics, but this dear man was about far more than that. I have been helped, and blessed by his many sermons since. I don't know why he got so involved in politics though, especially as a Minister..? Men like him - men of Christian conviction are still sorely needed today.

      I like Ian Paisley's accent it is like a mix of Irish and Scottish. Sometimes he sounds like an American preacher. Very powerful. It is strange that he got involved with worldly politics. Do you think Ireland should be one country a Republic? You don't agree with the British Royal family?

    Very often when I hear preaching like this I am stirred in my heart. That’s good! Then I read a comment like, “We need preaching like this today.” That statement somewhat bothers me. We do have preacher like that today; they are the ones that few will chose to listen to, they are unpopular and quite frankly they are not looking to be popular; they are in the little rural churches, that few will visit; they are the preachers that take that little church in town filled with mostly old people who still love the word. Most of these preachers have to work two jobs to keep them self alive and the church too, but he will not compromise their convictions. The pillow prophets will laugh as they delude, but these preachers weep as they care for precious souls. We need a full out, bonafide revival. And, if the truth will bring it it is certain that a lie will not.

    Dr. Paisley is a favourite of mine, as well. There were those (mainly other Presbyterians, sadly) who accused him of compromising with Catholics when he entered into a power-sharing agreement with Irish Republican parties, but he did so only on the condition that they agree to support the police and the British government, and uphold the law. Dr. Paisley has remained unwavering in his convictions, even after his retirement from politics and public life.

We are all evil men, and in need of Christ's cleansing Blood to wash away our iniquities. If you would be numbered among the Elect, you must acknowledge your sins, and repent, accepting the free grace that is offered through Jesus.

He invented protestantism later. Faith alone and other absurd things... That is why there was no protestantism before Luther

    • @slovensko7796
      @slovensko7796 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Steven Irizarry There were some abuses in the Church in some places that constituted a rejection of Catholic teaching and evil. But Luther separated himself from the only true Church, gradually invented his own false religion of faith alone, Scripture alone atc. It is absurd and false religion. Luther was Also an abonimable individual encouraging sin (sin boldly) and he actually wanted to throw the Gospel of James out of the Bible because it word for word contradicted his new invented heresy of justification by faith alone. It should be pointed out that belonging to the Catholic Church, the only true Church Christ founded on Peter, is necessary for salvation. However, the Catholic buildings and seminaries and dioceses were hijacked and overtaken by the false Vatican II Church, a sect, Whore of Babylon prophesied in the Apocalypse, that was created by the false and heretical Second Vatican Council which now appears to the world as the Catholic Church. The leaders of this sect are apostates and idolaters and heretics including the antipope John Paul II the Antichrist, Benedikt XVI and now Francis. See vaticancatholic.com

    I’m not a fan of Ian paisley, but to read all the negative comments made by bitter blind Roman Catholics is nothing new. Roman Catholics believe ever word of the Bible is to be read literally according to the dictates of the pope who is just a mere man. Baptism doesn’t save you, good works doesn’t save, the pope is NOT the successor of Peter, nor does he hold the keys of the kingdom, there’s no such place as purgatory, the priest cannot forgive sin. Roman Catholicism does not or cannot understand the teaching of scripture because the spirit of God is not in them. Catholicism is the doctrine of devils & must be preached against. Fact.

    I think if we look back at the impact this sort of fundamentalist preaching has produced from the 1960s to today, we will find that fundamentalism was not all it proposed to be. Actually, this sort of preaching eventually drove honest God seekers from the church and built a wall of legalism and perfectionism that still separates today. 50 years later, this message still does not portray the love of Christ that was never “against” anyone but desires all to be saved.

      Ian Paisley knows the truth about Rome and what a Protestant truly is History has been hidden from the modern church so all eyes will be off of Rome, Mystery Babylon, the dynasty of Antichrist Popes.
      I like him and if believers would actually read their Bibles they will know the love of Christ through the Holy Spirits teachings.

    All who are unsaved. Our Lord Christ even referred to the Pharisees as children of the Devil! Unfortunately, you are, at this time, included in that category. If you would be saved, and enter into the Kingdom of light, you must repent of your sins, and turn to Jesus.

    He was all bible and no Christianity. His sectarian utterances were said to have been responsible for the deaths of many Catholic men and women. He was against all things that would create peace and tranquility. He was in darkness most of his life which eventually led to him being removed from the church he founded and the political party he founded. It was said that he was in a nod and a wink relationship with the loyalist sectarian murder gangs, sad isn't it?

    • @DavidFarlow
      @DavidFarlow 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      What tone do you imagine Christ preaching in? People thought He was like Jeremiah or one of the prophets - He compared His own preaching to that of Jonah. These were messengers of God who proclaimed Gods judgment on sinners and forgiveness to those that would repent of their evil ways. Jesus condemned whole towns in His preaching. He framed newsworthy death events (Tower falling and murder by Herod) as opportunities to warn everyone living that they would also perish if they did not repent.
      He called his disciples fools.
      He called religious leaders serpents, vipers.
      He called men sinners.
      He called Judas a devil.
      Please explain the tone those messages were given in.
      They said He was mad, they said He had a demon, they said no one ver spoke like this man.
      Jesus Christ is Lord!
