Very nice pull with the 520. Sounds and looks good. The 730 was a nice touch too. Dad used to pull the 730 quite a bit. It usually placed in the 12,000 lb class. Always enjoyed listening to the 2 cylinders lug.
I always enjoy seeing the old 2 cylinder John Deere's! Brings back memories to my teenage years as I learned on the older John Deere tractors! (A,B and a G) Thanks Mike 😎👍

I love the antique tractor pulls. We pulled a 51 John Deere R. It lugged very well later we pulled Oliver 88's . I really miss showing cattle at the fair for the FFA. It will be an experience the kids will remember forever. Hope they earn lots of ribbons.

These 730s go for a high premium today.Greater torque to.I spent the better part or a Saturday afternoon back in July 1979 in a 8440 doing what your doing in your 4055

What county are you in? I'd like to try to make it to Empire Farm days this year but I can't because I have my own county fair to do this week (niagara).
Thats cool. My dad use to have a 720 that was a wide front instead of the narrow front like this 520. We both said its too bad he didn't keep it because it would have made a nice set of antique tractors

They are some great old tractors. My dad use to have a 720 and he wished he never sold it. A 720 would look real nice sitting next to the 520

I enjoy watching the JD 2 cylinder. When you think they are done they keep on pulling further down the track.

the thing is those old two bangers can't keep up with a farmall in the same class the john deeres get beat every time in my area.

Can not beat the pulling power of the 2-lunging. Sound like you had the timing set up on the 520.
It pulled great but there is something a little off. When it was under load it wasn't as smooth as it should be
