Matsuyama and Shida can take some comfort from knowing that they won this match quite comfortably while being nowhere near their best. Indeed, they have struggled for their best all week. Matsuyama has not looked quite right during this competition and the girls really need her to settle and find her best game for the final. Although the focus is often on Shida for the sheer joy and flamboyance with this she plays, it is Matsuyama's quality and consistence which is the bed rock of this pair, and against Chen and Jia they will need that to blunt the brutal efficiency of the Chinese pair. The good news for the Japanese girls is that while they have been below their very best they are still in a 750 final and you can't knock that and that is a measure of just how good they are.

Treesa needs to work more on her front court area, she needs to realise that relying on her power wont do good against Japanese player who known for their solid defense

Again. Indian pair has the power and speed but lacked of strategy. Has improved a lot though but gameplay once broken by opponent, all fall apart. Have to learn from world no.1 woman pair. power, speed, strategy, stamina all in one.

what a simple solution from japan that the korean pairs did not figure out twice in a row - just get the indians out of their favorite formation! keep jolly in the front and keep pullela in the back. how to gain offense? avoid pullela in the front and low lift jolly in the back. how to finish? drop to jolly, play against her in the front, avoid flat game against pullela at all cost.
very very excited to see this indian pair rise though. jolly smash! 🇮🇳

Matsuyama played very poorly in this match. They are lucky that they won it. When you play in international level, you must be consistent.

Its not good to conclude Indian's hardwork in one game. But the game Indian's are playing is an advance game not a professional. They are not playing in sync. What type coaching they have given i dont understand for every rally Pullela is moving to left side. she is lack of footwork. jolly's smash is not helping Pullela to kill the shuttle.
